A happy few of us flew to Winchester in February. Do you remember the entrance hall where you had English lessons? Someone showing their packed lunch and pointing at whatever it was they were supposed to eat. Strange English things for our students who are more used to eating bread and chorizo and Spanish omelette than odd sandwiches full of green stuff like lettuce or cucumber slices. Wow, these English people eat such things. I understand now why they are so greedy with the Spanish tapas in our bars – this is real food. And we had a nice walk though Winchester following a formal tour guide who showed us the ins and outs of the town and its landmarks. Confess now: none of you remember a single story! (just kidding, obviously). We also went to Stonehenge on a very windy day to pay tribute to our Neolithic ancestors who built a prehistoric monument: a stone circle. What on earth! It was raining cats and dogs when you were doing the scavenger hunt. Most of you holding your instruction papers dripping wet and taking shelter under the porches. Well done! It was remarkable. And we went to London by train. We looked like a flock of Japanese tourists following a tour guide – another one – disguised as a bunch of flowers, holding a pink flag on a wooden stick with some
