Message from Mayor Barberio

provides up-to-date information on what is occurring in Parsippany. Links to the town’s most popular webpages are easily accessible. There is no more in-depth hunting for agendas or making tax payments. News that affects residents is prominently displayed.

While you may be online to pay your water bill you may observe a notice that Phase I for new water meter installations is beginning. You might decide to check out the information to see what is being talked about and if it affects your neighborhood. I encourage you to check out the website often as new material is always being added. This is also one way to keep up to date on events that we are holding. Now that spring is here there will be postings on upcoming parades, concerts and various celebrations the Township will be hosting. The ease of surfing our site will make sure that you never miss an opportunity to join fellow residents having fun.

I would also like to make you aware of a very convenient tool on our website that you can use to bring a concern to the Mayor’s Action Center. You can easily “Report a Concern” via the website. This means that you don’t have to wait an entire weekend to call my office should you notice a large pothole on a Saturday afternoon. You can simply go online to fill out the provided form and submit it.

The Mayor’s Action Center will receive your report and we will follow through with the appropriate response to remedy your concern. This is a valuable tool that helps my office provide efficient handling of many issues that arise.

Please know that this is a tool to assist you so that you can reach us even when our offices are closed. It most certainly does not preclude you from reaching out to my office directly when we are open.

Please make sure to check our website this month as we celebrate Arbor Day and being a Tree City USA once again.

I invite you to join me on April 28th as we accept the honor of being one of two municipalities in the State of New Jersey to be A Tree City for 47 years.

I look forward to seeing you there.

James R. Barberio

Lookingfor a new title to rekindle your love of a great story? Allow me to recommend some Young Adult and Children’s novels for your reading pleasure.

These particular titles are part of this year’s Battle of the Books, books that some of our elementary students are reading to prepare for a literary contest in which they answer questions about characters and events in the stories.
