Corporate Social Responsibility Corporate Social Responsibility – the responsibilities of the corporation to the environment. It translates this easily, however it is by no means that easy. There are many definitions of CSR. One is not necessarily more correct than another. The important thing is that, as a corporation, we know how to define responsibility.
VISION ÷ STATUS = STRATEGY
This is how we view CSR: “Business developing in order to accommodate for a series of requirements without compromising the opportunities of future generations to develop in order to accommodate for their requirements”. We at Fletco believe that CSR can only work if we optimise our targets and values to allow our CSR strategy and policies to fit into our present business plan. This is how we update status and how we achieve our visions.
The CSR policies and targets at Fletco: 1. Cost reduction: Fletco aims to reduce energy consumption in all sections of the manufacturing chain beginning at the supplier link to the actual Carpet production and finally to distribution. 2. Accept responsibilities with respect to: Sustainability – the resources of the world are not infinite. Consequently, Fletco aims to manufacture our carpets in a manner that shows the greatest possible consideration to the environment and our joint resources. Social responsibilities – Fletco accepts social responsibilities both with respect to social matters and the environment. Moreover, we ensure equilibrium between the benefits for the corporation and the benefits for the community. Code of Conduct – through the compilation of a code of ethics for trading with our suppliers, we oblige them to follow the code and contribute to the general CSR policies.
