AMERICA’S STATE PARKS
Welcome to Texas State Parks! Help us keep our parks safe and clean by following these regulations and guidelines: • Dispose of all litter, black water, and dish/bath water in receptacles and facilities provided by the parks in accordance with posted instructions. • Water is precious to all wildlife in Texas. Keep it
clean no matter if it’s a tiny stream or big lake. • Feeding of wildlife is prohibited. • Firearms are prohibited without a permit. • Fireworks and public consumption or display of alcohol are prohibited inside Texas State Parks. • To protect our waterways from the spread of invasive species, boaters in Texas are required by law to remove any potentially harmful
plants from their boats or trailers before leaving any public or private water. • Where allowed, pets must be on a leash or crated. Pick up after your pets. • Hunting is allowed by permit only during strictly enforced times of the year in parks. • Respect quiet hours (10PM-6AM); turn down the radio, TV or stereo. • Do not leave food (including pet food)
outside at night or when not at your site. This will help keep unwanted critters away. • All boaters under age 13 must wear U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets. • When bringing a horse into any state park, documentation of a negative Coggins test is mandatory. • For a complete list of park regulations, visit the park office on site.

I N VA S I V E S P E C I E S A L E R T Help Stop the Spread
Please help us control the spread of both invasive plant and feral animal populations that compete for the same habitat and food as native Texas species. For example, giant salvinia grows a foot a day, creating a blanket of vegetation, choking our lakes and pushing out native plants. Please clean your boat before and after launching in the water. Feral hogs damage the landscape and feral cats kill songbirds. For everyone’s sake, please don’t release domestic stray animals into wild areas. For more information, visit www.texasinvasives.org.
