Invasive insects are killing vast swaths of New York’s forests. To stop them, do not bring firewood into the parks. A new regulation prohibits moving untreated firewood more than 50 miles from its source. Only burn wood bought from the park or local sources, and burn ALL your firewood before leaving your camp or picnic site.
