RESERVATIONS AND TIPS When the setting sun paints an evening sky, where will you make your bed? Florida’s state parks offer a variety of overnight accommodations. At a Florida state park, the day’s work is play, a walk on the beach, a hike through the woods, a swim, a bike ride. Tools for the day’s work? A fishing rod, a kayak, a book, a friend. What do you want to see when the sun rises on the new day? Choose a wooded campsite within walking distance of white sandy beaches, or camp along the banks of a quiet moving river. Bring your boat or canoe, or fishing tackle and a rod for a relaxing time with family or friends. Explore nature on many of the hiking trails, while at the same time leaving stress of the busy world behind. Attend a festival, a reenactment or simply do nothing.
RV CAMPING Florida’s state parks offer nearly fifty family campgrounds that accommodate RVs. Each site includes water, electricity, a grill and picnic table, along with centralized showers, restrooms and dump station. Some campgrounds offer a sewer connection.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Camping fees vary from park to park and include up to eight people per site, not including children under 6 years old. Checkout time is 1:00 p.m. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. • Quiet time is from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Campsites are limited to two vehicles. Selected campsites may allow only one vehicle. Pets are welcome in camping parks. Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and well behaved at all times. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of their waste. Pets may not be left unattended for more than 30 minutes and must be confined in the owner’s camping unit during quiet time. Service animals are welcome in all public areas of Florida state parks. One responsible person, 18 or older, must be present on each campsite. All campsites, not already reserved, may be rented by walk-in visitors. Campers are limited to a stay of 14 consecutive days or 3 two-week stays during a six-month period. On the date of check-out, overnight visitors must leave the site on or before checkout time, but may remain in the park’s day-use areas until closing without additional charge.
