Aegis Fang at the Rod and Gun Deck the halls and put the kids to bed tonight, there’s a party going down at the Rod and Gun this Christmas. Victoria rock trio Aegis Fang have been busy in Santa’s workshop, crafting a whole new pile of tasty jams. Tickets are $7 at the bar or at the door for what is always a crazy night: the night before all the holiday magic really gets underway. If you’re into blues, rock and grunge, you’ll love an evening with Aegis Fang. They’re going to be turning the Rod and Gun into a loud, rollicking night out. Bringing a refreshing twist to an age old formula with their unique brand of eclectic songs and interchanging band positions, Aegis Fang have built their reputation on bridging the gap between an explosive rock show and a captivating musical experience. Members include; Mike Ferguson (vocals/drums/guitar), Nathaniel Noel (guitar/vocals/ drums) and Jordan Cunningham (bass). Ferguson, originally from Parksville, said he will open the show with an acoustic set. “It’s a good way to ease the

a handful of covers or renditions they put their own take on. He said expects the dance floor to be packed. In the spring of 2007 at a music festival in Indio, California, Noel met Ferguson and they instantly became good friends and a year later became roommates in Victoria. Sharing a common love for music, it wasn’t long before they began playing together, writing songs and performing as a duo. Three years later, Aegis Fang, now a trio, is in the vortex of an exciting and diverse music scene. Catch them tonight at the Rod and Gun in Parksville.
