Shrubs 1. Pieris japonica 'Flaming Silver'

This variegated shrub greets spring with new foliage of bright crimson-red and large clusters of fragrant white blooms reminiscent of Lily-of-the-Valley. The maturing leaves turn pink with a silvery-white edge that remains as they become dark green. Very easy to grow, it tolerates any soil from sand to clay, and withstands drought. Protect it from strong winds and it will reward you with year-round beauty! 1-Quart Container. Z 5-9 | early spring | sun/part shade | H: 5', W: 5'

4. Rhododendron 'Abbey’s Re-View'

Big trusses of bright lavender-pink blooms clothe this broadleaf evergreen in both spring and fall! Far more heat tolerant than its famous parent, ‘Abbey’s Re-View’ is well- branched and densely covered with glossy dark green foliage, making it an excellent choice for a hedge or privacy screen. Free of pests and disease, it is vigorous and healthy, reaching 6 to 8 feet high and wide. Developed by Roger Flotta of Georgia. 1-Gallon Container. 5. Rhododendron x 'Lemon Lights'

One of the Northern Lights series of cold-hardy azaleas developed by the University of Minnesota, ‘Lemon Lights’ is fragrant and very floriferous, with bold purple fall foliage in addition to its lavish mid-spring bloom. The flowers arise before the narrow green foliage appears, adding to their ornamental beauty. Upright, rounded, and deciduous, this slow grower reaches 5 feet high and wide, and boasts a bud hardiness of -30 to -45°F. 1-Quart Container. Z 4-8 | mid-spring | sun/part shade | H: 5', W: 5'
