President’s message
April is Magazine Month, a time to celebrate the global network of Rotary’s official magazines, which provides valuable information to 1.2 million Rotarians. The RI Bylaws require all club members to subscribe to The Rotarian or a Rotary regional magazine. Rotary leaders, district governors, and club presidents are encouraged to support magazine editors in their country or region by submitting story ideas, promoting readership, encouraging timely subscription payments, and assisting with other communication efforts. Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera subscribes to the Rotary News. The Rotary News gives us information about the happenings in and around the World. It showcases the various unique projects carried out by Clubs worldwide. Every Club also publishes their very own bulletin, some weekly, fortnightly, monthly or bi-monthly. Our Club publishes a monthly bulletin ‘The Rivulet’. Let me take this opportunity to thank our Club Bulletin Editor Rtn. Paresh Sawardekar who has beautifully designed and edited our monthly magazine ‘The Rivulet’. The Rivulet is a medium for us to share our clubs projects with other clubs across. Our Club sends hard copies of the same to Rotarians across Goa, and sends soft copies to others beyond. April has been very hectic for all of us at Riviera, as all of us are working mainly towards one thing – RYLA for the visually impaired. It’s our Clubs Signature project, and the one we eagerly look forward too. This year’s RYLA too was a grand success and I wish to thank my team RYLA under the chairmanship of Rtn.
