Cimarron Parent Information

SILLY FACES! STAGE MAKEUP & MASKS (6-15 YRS)-NEW

Parent orientation will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, June 1 at the Plano Senior Recreation Center, 401 W. 16th Street.

Join Rover Dramawerks for a creative adventure into the art of theatrical make-up and mask design. You will learn how to create characters using theatrical make-up skills and techniques such as scars, old age, shadows and highlights, animals, and more! Learn about mask-making and some of the fascinating theatrical history involving masks. Take your mask home with you after the final class. Summer camps are designed to promote socialization among children of all ages. Therefore, campers will be randomly assigned to a unit for Camp Cimarron prior to camp. Please remember summer camps are held outdoors. Plano summers can be hot. Precautions for heat are taken at camp with children’s safety in mind.

The title of the course is SILLY FACES! STAGE MAKEUP & MASKS. The Course Code is 119925, and it meets at COX BUILDING on THURSDAY-FRIDAY from 8:30AM-4:30PM, begins JULY 7, meets 2 times, the instructor is DRAMAWERKS and the fee for this course is $75. Camp Refund Policy Full refunds will be granted when requested more than two weeks prior to the beginning of camp. Refunds requested less than two weeks prior to the start date will not be granted, unless the vacated spot is filled. If the spot is filled, a refund will be granted less a $5 administrative fee. Medical refunds requested prior to the start date of camp will be granted in full. An original doctor’s note must be provided at the time of the request for all medical refunds to be processed.

Cimarron Day Camps

CIMARRON YOUTH CAMP (6-12 YRS)

Camp Cimarron is a one-week program located at Bob Woodruff ParkSouth (BWS), offering a wide range of outdoor recreation activities for children. The camp provides opportunities to learn about the natural environment through fun nature hikes and environmental education activities including fishing, crafts, games, swimming and other activities. Parent can drop off and pick up at Bob Woodruff South or utilize the Camp Cimarron shuttle service from Carpenter Park Recreation Center (CAR). The bus leaves CAR at 7:15am and returns at 6pm and leaves BWS every afternoon at 5:20pm. Parent must pick up campers at BWS no later than 5:20pm so bus may run on time. Package #1 runs from 8am-2:30pm. Parent must drop-off and pick-up camper. Package #2 runs from 8am-5:30pm. Parent can drop off and pick-up at BWS or utilize the shuttle service. Camp will be held at Oak Point Center on inclement weather days.

Parents are responsible for making sure children are registered in the correct camp program or session. If an error is found after registration please call and have it corrected prior to the camp season. Refunds will not be granted after the camp season is ended.

Refunds will not be granted due to the following reasons: weather conditions, summer heat, sunburn, a camper’s behavior, absence from camp, camp assignments, or after the camp session or season.
