Fitness Boys Strength Training (7-13 Yrs)

Strength training can be a fun way for boys to build healthy muscles, joints, and bones! Boys will learn proper breathing, lifting, safety precautions, and how to utilize weight equipment while working towards personal goals and much more! Exercise for weight conscious and/or sedentary children, picky eaters and food lovers that need to lose weight, manage weight or simply move more. Instead of making a big deal out of being out of shape, participants engage in fun, simple and effective workouts where they will experience cardio, strength, yoga, and more to improve muscular and cardiovascular endurance, balance, coordination and flexibility. Home School Fencing (7-18 Yrs)

Learn the sport of fencing from a coach with World Cup and Olympic level experience! Students will learn to think strategically and solve problems quickly, how to hold your weapon correctly, and how to move with confidence. Focus is placed on footwork, beginning tactics and mental focus, attack and defensive fencing terms and etiquette, strength, balance, and agility training. Upon session completion, students will have the physical and mental ability to fence in simulated bouts.

Kids will learn basic boxing skills and conditioning exercises. Lessons will incorporate a variety of bodyweight and strength conditioning exercises along with cardiovascular and stretching related activities that will improve overall physical conditioning.

Martial Arts Aikido (12-16 Yrs)

Aikido is a martial art based on the methods of ancient Japanese budo. Aikido harmonizes with the opponent creating a mutually beneficial outcome free of pain or humiliation. Practice is suitable for all ages and promotes discipline, health, and self-defense. $25 uniform fee for first time students and $3 association fee required per session at the first class.

Karate-Japanese Goju-Ryu (9-15 Yrs)

Goju-Ryu is a blend of a Japanese (hard) and a Chinese (soft) style of karate. It is a very beautiful, though not flashy, martial art which takes a very realistic approach to self-defense. It is an excellent tool for improving concentration, self-discipline, confidence, and physical fitness. Uniforms will be discussed on the first day of class.
