BLACK LIGHT ARTWORK

Amy Stevens was able to purchase new black lights with the funds raised from the Square 1 Art fundraiser. Our students did a fantastic job with their artwork that was displayed during our art show at the February parent/teacher conferences.

CALENDAR WINNER

Our very own Owen Kraft was a winner for the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Stop Substance Abuse Calendar Contest. His picture is proudly displayed in the calendar for the month of June.

ART SHOW

The Somerset Public Library will be hosting an art show, displaying several selected works of art from our area youth in grades K-12. The show will be open from April 13th until May 31st, during regular library hours. There will be a gallery opening on April 20th from 4-7:00 p.m. celebrating those students whose artwork was selected for display. The show is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the creative expression and artistic knowledge of our community’s children! Thank you to the Somerset Public Library for hosting this event! What a beautiful and inspiring space to exhibit beautiful and inspiring artwork!

CHILD FIND SUMMARY

The school district has a child find or screening program to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with suspected disabilities who are residents of the school district including children attending private school, in the school district, and homeless children. Children are referred for a special education evaluation by school staff, parents, doctors, and other community service agencies. The School District of Somerset held our spring child find activity and had the opportunity to meet many of our new spartans! If you were not able to bring in your child that day and you have questions regarding your child’s development, please contact the School District of Somerset’s Director of Pupil Services, Abbiegail Bohatta at 715-247-4400 x575 or abohatta@somerset.k12.wi.us.
