Anne Franke “Blanc de Neige” Hand-cut paper paper jewellery Together with two partners, I’m running the renowned design studio Art des Hauses. Some of our clients are paper mills and paper sales organizations. My affinity with fine, sensual uncoated papers started out there – the communication strategy we developed for these companies, was about using paper to promote paper. The samples books, for example, featured shaped, cut and embossed paper objects which were embedded in a framework story. However, my creative involvement with this material went far beyond my day-to-day work and I completed a collection of jewellery, made from a combination of paper, silver and stainless steel, called “Blanc de Neige”. www.art-des-hauses.com

ANNE LEON | GYOTAKU PRINTING The word ‘Gyotaku’ basically means “fish rubbing” in Japanese. It began over 100 years ago in Japan as a way for Japanese fishermen to keep a record of the fish they caught. The most popular form of GYOTAKU is called the direct method. The fish print is created by rubbing a piece of paper on the side of the inked fish. The fish eye is painted by hand after the rubbing is made to imbue motion, life and personality. After the print has dried, the fish can be hand coloured using coloured inks. SARBE INVITATIONS + PAPERS | ORIGAMI WARDROBE Little ones get a chance to create their very own paper wares all weekend. Sarbe Invitations + Papers are hosting and workshopping the art of creating an Origami Wardrobe for paper dolls – learn how to make dresses, shirts and shorts. SARBE INVITATIONS + PAPERS | ‘TIC TAC TOE’ Create a travel game set – all children will create the pieces for the game ‘Tic Tac Toe’ and take home a tin full of paper creations to capture their imagination. SKYE ROGERS | PAPER BLISS Make 2 projects from Skye Rogers gorgeous new book ‘Paper Bliss’ (Harper Collins). Skye will guide you while chatting about the creative process and how to upcycle all that waste paper in your life! Skye will provide all materials except clean, empty milk cartons (please bring along) and present you with a gorgeous paper gift to take home, plus a copy of her new book ‘Paper Bliss’.
