Proposed study plan
I have embarked upon an MBA at the Robert Kennedy College (in association with University of Cumbria) to deepen my academic knowledge of the business world. I hope to emerge from my schooling better able to generate creative organizational solutions and to ground my decision–making in managerial theory. After taking Power Learning for Managers, I will begin the first four online modules in Organizational Behaviour, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Money Management. The online nature of these classes will enable me to balance my current work duties with my coursework. By using my mornings, lunch breaks, evenings and weekends for reading and study purposes I will be able to keep up with my class work. Every week I will create a study and work schedule for myself, ranking my duties according to priority.
After gaining a solid foundation in my online classes, I will next be able to proceed to the residential requirement in Leadership and Sustainability. I hope to be able to arrange with my employer to take time off during this time or at least request a lighter work schedule while engaged in this exciting, face–to–face phase of my education. I look forward to directly engaging with my fellow students and teachers, and one aspect of this MBA that attracted me is that although it is primarily online, it does have a 'real life' component. Although my schedule does

For as long as I can remember, I have loved numbers. Ever since elementary school, I remember explaining and tutoring my classmates in subjects related to math. Math was such a passion for me that in high school my professors entrusted me to provide supplemental tutoring to my classmates. Moreover, while inhigh school, I participated in math competitions and worked on research projects related to business. I always wanted to pursue a college education abroad because I believed I would be fully equipped to help others and to become a better professional. Therefore, when I graduated from high school I applied to a program to come to the USA. There is still a lot that the future holds and the Investment Management Fund program would provide me the opportunity to gain hands–on experience managing a real investment portfolio. As a double major student in Accounting and Finance, and a...show more content...
Last semester, I competed for the PricewaterhouseCoopers Competition challenge, in which I was able to work with three women and come with a solution for a problem a company was facing while considering their financial goals and objectives. Moreover, I also interned as Financial Planning Intern for The M Group and Associates. Through this position, I was able to learn more about financial services including investment planning, asset management, employee and executives benefits accounts, retirement planning, and many others. I was able to contact customers and explain different financial services available as well as their benefits and limitations. My Security Analysis Portfolio Management (FIN 421) allowed me to use MS Excel to do portfolio rebalancing, compute accumulated real retirement savings for different return realizations, implement rick parity strategy for backtesting, and be a portfolio manager for a large pension fund and use mean variance analysis to allocate funds across major asset Get more content

If you never stop learning, life will always be interesting and filled with new opportunities. My mission to continually stretch myself has led me to return to school again at an age most people are thinking more about their children's college loans rather than their own.

My main goals behind receiving an MBA at this point in my life are dual. First, I would like to further my business education, and to pursue other areas of finance. I have come to this conclusion after many years of introspection and realizations about where my career is, and where I would like to be. With getting my MBA, my hope is to join a prominent finance organization with the ultimate goal of...show more content... I feel I would contribute to the group in several ways including, managing and accurately completing multiple requests with short turnaround times, gather and conveying information from different sources, and strengthening my own foundation of knowledge to use as a resource. However, while I am an excellent team player, I do have weaknesses as well. Math is one of my poorest subjects since high school, and in college, therefore if accepted into the MBA business program; this will be made know to my team.
Wanting to be a successful leader of an organization, I have to learn all aspects of organization outside of defined contribution such as marketing or system administration. I have found that I need to overcompensate for my soft appearance in order to get my point across. By attending Concordia University, I will gain exposure to both theories and practices in the world of business. I will obtain a deeper understanding of management concepts, and be able to apply those concepts to real life situations on the job. I hope to improve my negotiating skills, and to gain more experience in getting my team to carry their own weight. At the same time, I don't want to be a dictator, but to be effective, it's important for a manager to maintain the proper balance of power and compassion. Only in this way, will I be able to lead a group of people to realize an organization's goal. Aside from advancing my

There is no doubt that law is an essential of our daily life. We are exercising law every day whether we noticed or not. You may review how much problem you have faced. I have always been passionate about math and physics, and in high school, I excelled in both. As I approached university, I was faced with a dilemma: should I pursue engineering or science? It was a single, seemingly trivial incident that led to a moment of clarity and solidified my decision: it started with fiddling with a pen in class. I took it apart, examining the mechanisms and playing around with all the little parts. As I sat there with a deconstructed pen strewed across my desk, something occurred to me: if a person uses a pen to write, he's made for the arts; if a person throws it in the air and watches gravity pull it back, she's made for science; and if someone takes a pen apart to see how it works – piecing together the relationship of the spring to the push mechanism, inspecting the efficiency of the inkwell – he's made for engineering. I realized that I had always loved disassembling objects and, more often than not, putting them back together – fascinated with how things work and what I could do to make them work better. This led me to a degree in engineering, which has become my passion....show more content...
I was fascinated by the system's ability to expertly control equipment remotely using robotic manipulators and control systems – it beautifully melds medicine and robotics. I became captivated by the new technologies coming out of the biomedical engineering community. Robotic prosthetics, 3D surgical simulations and medical imaging united my interest in human biomechanics with my passion for robotics and

My decision to pursue graduate study in the United States is underscored by my desire to be a part of the graduate program at your institution. Since University of California offers great research facilities and the faculty at the university is excellent. I received my B.S. degree in Journalism from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. There is a competitive university admission exam in Turkey and Marmara University Journalism department selects its students from the top 0.01% of the examinees, and I was one of the selected students. The prospect of a career with such broad and exciting potential really attracts me to this area, and I believe that I have the skills needed for a successful journalist; the passion, determination, adaptation, open–mindedness, and communication skills which would be my sword in the journalism world.

I also have a particular interest in international reporting and photojournalism. I am inspired by the works of Atilla Girgin, who has maintained his position of chairman of the news department at Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) for a long time. He was also my professor during the first semester of university.
Questions regarding decisions about one's career are usually hard to be answered since those decisions will probably affect an important portion of one's life. I have three basic guidelines for shaping my career. First, my career should be on a work I love; second, it should be full of excitement, and third, my job should maintain my mental satisfaction. Therefore, new media in journalism is best fit for me. With undergraduate course as my base and relevant knowledge in the field of journalism, I now desire to pursue Master of Journalism majoring in New Media. After my Master's degree I wish to pursue doctoral studies in the same field which would enable me to realize my potential to the

In the quest to exploit market opportunities around the globe, business are increasingly experimenting with new approaches and structures which cut across national boundaries. But if these experiments are survive and even flourish in environment which are increasingly fluid and complex. Throughout my work experience, I have tried aquire a strategic awareness with a global outlook. For example, when I took resposibility for HMC's India Project, more specifically, during business trip to India, I visited many Indian financial institutions and had many business talks with local financiers. Besides this multicultural exposure, several FDI projects(China, Japan, Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Vietnam, and so on forth) further widened my multicultural exposure. And I have willingly and intensively learned to speak Japanese and Chinese to work efficiently with local partners. Familiarity with a multicultural environment may help a manager reduce or eradicate the effects of percerved discrimination and achieve business goals effectively.

Looking back at what I have done, and ahead to what I'd like to do, I can find a great sense in beginning a MBA Program. I have dreams and plans for a range of jobs and enterprises that extend ahead through my life. For my dreams and plans, I
