In general... PA Schools have various requirements for classes. Let’s look at a couple school’s requirements… 1. Quinnipiac University 2. University of Bridgeport 3. King’s College


Quinnipiac University Prerequisites taken directly from their website include: ● a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (UCONN is an accredited institution) ● 16 semester credits of biology with labs including microbiology and anatomy and physiology (two semesters) ○ BIOL 1107 (4 credits with lab) Recommended PCE: ○ BIOL 1108 (4 credits with lab) *OPTIONAL* 2,500 hours ○ MCB 2610 (4 credits with lab) ○ PNB 2264/74 and PNB 2265/75 (8 credits with lab) ● 8-12 semester credits of chemistry with labs, including 3-4 credits of organic or biochemistry (with labs) prior to application ○ Either General Chemistry sequence ○ CHEM 2443, 2444, 2445 (9 credits) OR MCB 2000 (4 credits with lab) ● 3 semester credits of college algebra, statistics or equivalent Most competitive applicants possess a minimum of a 3.20 cumulative GPA and 3.20 science GPA. http://www.quinnipiac.edu/school-of-health-sciences/graduate-programs/master-of-health-science-physician-assistant/
