Mazwane Foundation donates to Kaalfontein’s fire victims by Dumisani Hlatswayo
T
he MaZwane Foundation has donated food, clothing and blankets to Kaalfontein’s victims of fire. The items were generously donated in support of the victims of the Kaalfontein fire tragedy. All donations were collected at all Imbizo Shisanyama outlets. Ma Zwa ne a nd Bishop Makhubo, a leader of the Tembisa Transformation Forum were present when donations were distributed to those most vulnerable in our community. Founded on the 11th of November 2019, the foundation is led by business leader, Rita Phumlaphi Zwane, under the direction of powerhouse figures such as Dr Thandi Nkosi who is Deputy Chair, Develd Monyai, Thando Zwane, Anne Booyse and Ntombezinhle Mhlongo. The organisation was established with the vision to create a platform for young upcoming entrepreneurs in the township. While the organisation’s primary focus is to inspire, empower and educate young people and women in its surrounding community, MaZwane’s vision is that the organisation will inspire, educate and empower South Africa’s future leaders in all townships around the country. Furthermore since its inception it is clear that the foundation is quickly transforming into a vehicle that will see

from Pricewaterhousecoopers in 2019. It was then during 2019 that MaZwane decided to formalise the various community initiatives under a single umbrella and founded the MaZwane Foundation, a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO).
