As we move into the next half of the decade, we remain deeply grateful to our pandemic heroes—healthcare workers, volunteers, and every Singaporean who stood strong. Together, we protected jobs, supported businesses, and cared for families during the toughest times.
New challenges have emerged, but we are addressing cost of- living pressures through targeted Budget support—helping households and creating quality jobs in growth sectors. Strengthened social safety nets ensure no one is left behind. We’ve seen the power of unity and preparation. Now, we are investing in workforce skills, supporting local enterprises, and building strong communities. Together, we’re shaping a resilient, inclusive Singapore.
In Pasir Ris–Changi, we are redeveloping towns and refreshing public spaces. Projects like the Cross Island Line’s Loyang Station and the Changi Northern Corridor will bring convenience, job opportunities, and a vibrant live-work-play environment. Ketika kami melangkah ke dekad yang akan datang, kami terus menghargai wira-wira pandemik kita — pekerja jagaan kesihatan, sukarelawan, dan setiap rakyat Singapura yang tetap teguh. Preserving Our Natural Heritage, Enhancing Green Spaces for Future Generations
Pedal into Adventure - discover seamless new cycling paths from Pasir Ris through Eastern, Changi Northern and Changi Southern corridors.
The Eastern Corridor, Changi Northern Corridor, and Changi Southern Corridor together form a vital stretch of the Round Island Route (RIR), enhancing east-side connectivity for both recreation and commuting. Starting from Pasir Ris Park, the Eastern Corridor (18 km scenic route, completed on 17 February 2024) runs southward to East Coast Park, linking seamlessly with the Changi Southern Corridor, which skirts around Changi Airport along the coast.
From there, the Changi Northern Corridor continues the loop by heading north toward Changi Beach Park and Changi Village, creating a continuous, scenic trail that allows cyclists and pedestrians to explore diverse coastal landscapes and green spaces across eastern Singapore.
Pasir Ris Park and Beach Upgrades
Improved visitor experiences at Pasir Ris Park and Beach include:
• Upgraded pavilions and toilets
• Enhancements to the maze garden
• New foot reflexology paths
Pasir Ris Park to Town Centre - Central Greenway Connector
A key feature is the central greenway connecting the Pasir Ris Park to Pasir Ris Town Centre. The 400m southern stretch has been completed, with construction progressing on the northern segment. When fully completed, this 1km route will feature dedicated walking and cycling paths, under its Remaking Our Heartland (ROH) programme.

Building a seamless and efficient transport network for a better tomorrow
Tampines Viaduct (completed 2023)
This provides motorists with an additional and direct route for travelling from Tampines Expressway (Pan Island Expressway) to PIE (Tuas) and Upper Changi Road East.
Loyang Viaduct (expected 2028)
The 2.6km Loyang Viaduct will reduce Changi Northern Corridor congestion by diverting traffic between TPE and Changi Village via an elevated route, bypassing Pasir Ris Drive 1 & 3. It includes TPE and Loyang Lane ramps, increasing capacity and supporting future development.
Changi Northern Corridor
The road between Loyang Avenue and Aviation Park Road will be widened to a dual 4-lane road to ease congestion, alongside upgrades like the widening of Pasir Ris Drive 3 and constructing the 2.6 km Loyang Viaduct, supporting the Cross Island Line’s development.
Changi Southern Corridor
The Changi Southern Corridor upgrades, started in Q4 2024, will expand roads and add new flyovers to ease airport traffic congestion. Key projects include a new vehicular underpass and flyover at the PIE/ECP/Airport Boulevard interchange; widening of PIE between Upper Changi Flyover and Changi Flyover; and construction of a new road parallel to ECP stretching from Changi Flyover to Tanah Merah Flyover, which will be completed by 2030. The full upgrade aligns with Changi Airport Terminal 5’s 2034 opening, with temporary diversions managed to minimize disruptions.

At the former Loyang Primary School, VidaCity prove that adaptive reuse can foster eco-conscious communities—while My First Skool anchors the same site as a hub for early childhood growth.
VidaCity
VidaCity has transformed the old Loyang Primary School into a thriving eco-community where sustainability meets everyday life. The old classrooms now house spaces for residents, urban farms and eight greenhouses growing fresh produce, and even a renewable energy system that powers the site. Entrepreneurs fill 16 startup studios and a research lab with green ideas, while professionals work in the formal offices—a sleek workspace carved from three former classrooms.
Former Coral Primary School
By 2028, the old Coral Primary School building will reopen as Metta School 2 (also called Maitri School), a specialised institution providing quality, affordable education for students with moderate to high support needs.
My First Skool
Fully operating since May 2023, My First Skool —a space for 1,100 children (990 in childcare, 110 infants) staffed by 175 educators. Recognized as Singapore’s only finalist at the 2024 World Architecture Awards, its redesigned campus features a spiral play structure, three outdoor learning zones across four levels, and eleven preserved yellow flame trees keeping nature ‘front and obvious’ for young minds. The self-contained design enables both safe play and wild imagination—proving adaptive reuse can honour heritage while nurturing future generations.
