My Nee Soon residents,
The world situation has changed fast.
We have a global trade war started by the US.
The US has imposed tariffs on many countries. Singapore was hit with 10%.
Now, the US has paused the tariffs until 8 July 2025. There is a lot of uncertainty. Global growth is likely to slow. No one knows what will happen on 8 July 2025. When the pause ends, will tariffs be reimposed?
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has said it clearly: More shocks are coming. We must brace ourselves.
Exports may slow, demand may fall. Investments will be affected.
Companies may face tough times. Jobs may be at risk.
We cannot control what happens in Washington or Beijing, or anywhere else in the world.
But we can control how we respond.
We have gone through many crises.
With steadiness.
With unity and discipline. We’ve done it before.
We can do it again.
We will roll out plans to deal with the economic situation.
We are not the biggest country. But we are respected, because we stay calm. We stay honest. We stay capable. We stay united. That is why investors trust us.
That is what protects our future. Let us hold on to what matters—our good governance, our political stability, our harmony, our unity.
A society where race, language or religion does not divide us.
In Nee Soon, Residents First
While we deal with national issues, your MPs will continue to put Residents First. We will do our best to serve you. And we will continue to improve facilities in Nee Soon.
We have made Nee Soon A Home with A Heart. We will continue with many programmes that we have to help Nee Soon Residents.
This manifesto shows what facilities have been built— roads, parks, multi-purpose hubs, sports facilities, schools, and services.
Kita mesti kuatkan diri kita.
Eksport mungkin perlahan, permintaan mungkin jatuh. Pelaburan akan terjejas.
Syarikat mungkin menghadapi masa yang sukar. Pekerjaan mungkin berisiko.
Kita bukan negara terbesar. Tetapi kita dihormati, kerana kita kekal tenang. Kita kekal jujur. Kita kekal berupaya. Kita kekal bersatu.
Nee Soon is more than a Town— it is a Home built on strong community spirit. In the next five years, we will make Nee Soon more connected, vibrant, and inclusive.
For families, we will increase childcare facilities.
For seniors, we will expand eldercare services and build more barrier-free spaces.
And for families in need, we will assist as we have done in the last five years.
Nee Soon now has many modern amenities.
It is the healthcare hub of the North: Two hospitals, two polyclinics, and multiple active ageing centres.
Iconic projects continue to shape our town, ensuring a better quality of life for all.
When completed, the Integrated Hub, Chong Pang City, will house a new Community Club, Sports Facilities, Hawker Centre, Market, Retail Shops and Enrichment Outlets.
We have more plans.
There will be improved access to key transport nodes, including the North-South Corridor.
There will be more sheltered linkways.
We will refresh homes and public spaces.
With your support, we can turn these plans into reality. We can build a better Nee Soon—together.
Over the past five years, the Government has introduced 12 Budgets to protect jobs, stabilise the economy, and support families in managing rising costs.
The GST increase was necessary to fund essential services like healthcare and education in the coming years.
However, the Government has ensured that most Singaporeans will receive more in Government support than they pay in GST. For lower- and middle-income families, the Assurance Package in Budget 2025 will offset the GST increase for the next 10 years. Thanks to cash payouts, U-Save rebates, and CDC vouchers, many families will more than recover the extra GST they pay.
Real support is given for everyday expenses while laying the foundation for a stronger, more secure future.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we drew on $52 billion from past reserves to help Singaporeans through the crisis. Inflation and global challenges have driven up prices. The Government has responded with new support.
Rising costs affect each of us differently. Budget 2025 has been designed to provide direct, targeted help for everyone—from young couples and families with school-going children to seniors managing their daily expenses.
For families, support is given for daily living costs. A family in a 3-room flat can expect around $3,700 in assistance, while those in a 4-room flat will receive about $2,900. Parents will also benefit from lower preschool fees and extra support for their children’s education. Working adults will receive SG60 credits and tax rebates, while seniors will get additional assistance with healthcare and living costs.

Jackson has served actively in grassroots work for 12 years.
He has focused on supporting seniors and underprivileged young people.
This is due to his own background. He lost his father when he was young and was raised by his grandmother. He had a turbulent life.
These challenges built his resilience and shaped his belief that all young people—regardless of background—deserve opportunities to succeed and give back.
His background and upbringing have shown Jackson that if he puts his heart into anything he does, it will show results. It takes hard work, ability and willingness to listen and a positive attitude to connect with people.
Jackson is married with twin boys. He is a young local business owner.
