It has been a great privilege to serve you in Bukit Panjang, a place where it is also home to me.
My heartfelt thanks to you for your trust and support. I am also grateful for the strong sense of community we’ve built together.
Our journey has been one of continually pursuing improvements and enhancing liveability; to make Bukit Panjang an endearing and greener home for all.
As we look ahead, our vision for Bukit Panjang is clear: there will be no let-up in refreshing our town where every resident, young and senior, can live well and feel connected.
We’re focused on enhancing the quality of life and ensuring that Bukit Panjang will always be a place to cherish for years to come.
Here’s what’s ahead:
• Revitalising Our Home: We are rejuvenating our estates and homes, creating more wellness spaces, improving transport connectivity, enhancing walkability and sheltered walkways among others. New housing developments and family-friendly amenities will also support young families and multi-generational living.
• Living Active and Healthy Life: We will ensure that the town has more social and recreational amenities for families to come together and to have fun. With more of our seniors catching on in age, we will steadfastly increase more seniors’ supportive facilities and curate more activities and routines for our seniors to stay active and healthy.
• Sustainability for the Future: We are committed to a greener Bukit Panjang with more eco-friendly initiatives, energy-efficient upgrades, and green spaces to enhance our town’s beauty and environmental sustainability.

MY BUKIT PANJANG JOURNEY
Bukit Panjang has always been more than just a place to live—it is home, a community, and a part of who I am.
I grew up here, studied here, and have spent my life walking the familiar streets of our town. I have seen it change, grow, and transform into the vibrant and well-connected estate it is today.
When I was younger, the Bukit Panjang of my childhood looked very different. The places I once knew have evolved—the open fields replaced by lush parks, the old neighbourhoods redeveloped into modern estates like Fajar and Bangkit. Yet, even as our town has transformed, its heart has remained the same. The warmth of the community, the friendships formed, and the sense of belonging have never wavered.
Through the years, my family and I have built our lives here. We shop for groceries in Bangkit, enjoy meals at our favourite eateries, and find comfort in the green spaces that offer a peaceful escape from the city’s bustle. Our daily lives are deeply intertwined with the pulse of Bukit Panjang. This town is where my closest friends live, where my fondest memories were made, and where my passion for serving the community was born.
When I stepped forward to serve Bukit Panjang, I did so with a deep love for this town and a strong desire to make it an even better place for all of us. Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing our community come together in extraordinary ways.
Looking back, I am deeply grateful for this journey. It has been an incredible privilege to serve and contribute to the place I call home. Seeing how far we have come and knowing that I have played a part in shaping Bukit Panjang’s future fills me with immense pride.
I am very proud of Bukit Panjang and of the community we have built together.
我家就在武吉班让一带，这里也是我和我家人生活的地方。
我小时候住在11哩， 在武吉班让小学读书，当年的椰山尾 （10哩）与塑胶园是我常去玩乐的地方。
在我就读新加坡理 工学院与当兵时，武吉班让的绿色周围与大水沟旁的走道也 是我常运动的去处。
武吉班让也是我成长的地方。
这些年来非常感恩能为我们的家园与社区做事，服务居民； 并共同见证了市镇的巨大变化和发展。今天的武吉班让市 镇，已是一个充满活力、四通八达的现代小城。
虽然市镇的外观发生了变化，但是我们社区的内在价值却始 终如一 - 社区的凝聚、邻居的互助，和对家园的归属感从未 动摇。
正是这股社区情结激发了我服务武吉班让的原动力。
多年来，有幸能与居民们共事合作，陆续的实现了在武吉班 让一系列的务实成就。
我深信武吉班让还可以更好，这是我不变的执着。我会继续 努力！
REVITALISING OUR HOME
Bukit Panjang has seen remarkable growth, and I am dedicated to ensuring our homes and spaces remain vibrant and well-maintained. I’m committed in enhancing the quality of life for every resident.
Working closely with HDB and other agencies, we’ve completed over 33 town enhancement projects, including covered linkways, drop-off points, and barrier-free access ramps. New amenities like void deck gyms, community gardens, and a pets park have also enriched our community. The Home Improvement Programme (HIP) has been completed for 99 blocks, with 4 more in progress and 10 more slated for 2025/2026.
Ongoing efforts include the major upgrading of Fajar Shopping Centre and the Lift Upgrading Programme (LUP) across several blocks. We look forward to a new integrated BTO flat at the former Greenridge Secondary site, a Sport-in-Precinct facility at Block 213, and a Therapeutic Garden at Block 204. Bukit Panjang will always be a thriving and connected home for all.
武吉班让已经取得了令人瞩目的成长，我将继续确保我们的 家园和生活空间保持活力并得到良好的维护。我将致力于提 升每位居民的生活质量。

Bukit Panjang terus berkembang, dan saya komited untuk memastikan tempat tinggal kita kekal bertenaga dan disenggara dengan baik.
Bekerjasama dengan HDB dan agensi-agensi, kami telah menyiapkan lebih 33 projek peningkatan bandar, termasuk laluan berbumbung, anjung menurunkan penumpang, dan tanjakan akses bebas halangan.
Kemudahan baru seperti gim di kolong blok, kebun masyarakat dan taman haiwan peliharaan memperkayakan masyarakat kita.
Program Peningkatan Rumah (HIP) telah selesai untuk 99 buah blok, dengan 4 masih dalam pembinaan dan 10 lagi dijadualkan siap pada tahun 2025/2026. BETTER CONNECTIVITY
Over the years, I have closely listened to residents’ concerns about public transport and made it a priority to address these challenges. Together, we have successfully implemented numerous improvements, ensuring greater convenience and connectivity for our community.
Completed Projects:
• Silver Zones: Over the past two years, Silver Zones have been introduced to enhance the safety of senior residents with features like lower speed limits and pedestrian-friendly crossings.
• Senja-KJE Flyover: The Senja-KJE Flyover, linking Senja Road to the Kranji Expressway (KJE), has alleviated traffic congestion and improved commuting efficiency.
• Bukit Panjang Cycling Path Network: The 16km cycling path network, completed in 2023, encourages sustainable commuting, providing a safe and convenient route for cyclists.
• New Bus Services: The introduction of Bus 972M and Premium Bus 722 offers direct access to key destinations, further enhancing public transport options for residents.
Ongoing Projects:
• Bukit Panjang LRT Upgrades: Significant upgrades are underway, including the addition of 19 new train cars, 13 upgraded Light Rail Vehicles and improvements to power rails and signaling systems by 2025. This will improve the LRT system’s efficiency and reliability.
Upcoming Projects:
• Northward Connection of Downtown Line: Downtown Line will be extended to link with North-South Line via the new Sungei Kadut MRT station. This will also improve access to the Rail Corridor, Kranji, and Sungei Kadut areas, thus enhancing regional connectivity.
• Friendly Streets: The LTA’s Friendly Streets initiative will improve pedestrian safety, comfort, and convenience, including a covered linkway connecting Pending LRT station to Bukit Panjang Community Club.
• Covered Linkways: New linkways along Saujana Road and Pending Road; with more to come.
We are not done yet! Improving our town connectivity is a journey without end. I will continuously work with residents and agencies to ensure Bukit Panjang remains accessible and wellconnected for all.
多年来，我一直倾听居民在公共交通方面的困难，并把应对 这些挑战作为首要任务。通过各方努力，我们成功推行了多 项改进措施，为社区提供了更便利的交通和良好的连接性。
已经完工的项目：

• 新的巴士服务路线：972M号巴士和722号优质巴士服务 路线的开通，为居民提供了直达主要目的地的公共交通 选择，进一步改善了居民的出行便利。
正在进行的项目：
• 武吉班让轻轨翻新改造: 目前正在进行的主要升级包括 引进19列第三代新列车，同时提升13列现有的第二代 轻轨列车，以及改进电力轨道和信号系统。这将改善 轻轨系统的效率和可靠性。
即将开展的项目：
• 滨海市区线北向连接：滨海市区线将延长，通过新的 双溪加株地铁站与南北线连接。这将改善通往铁道 走廊、克兰芝和双溪加株地区的 交通，从而加强该区域的连通性。
• 安行街道：陆路交通管理局推出 的安行街道将提升行人的安全 性、舒适性和便利性，其中包括建 造一条连接秉定轻轨站和武吉班 让民众俱乐部的有盖走廊。

LOOKING OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER
We have your back in good times and adversity, ensuring that no one is left behind in our journey towards a better Bukit Panjang.
Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we are deeply committed to supporting each resident in their life journey and better well-being.
To help residents cope with cost of living, we launched the Bukit Panjang One Dollar Deals in March 2024, which have been extended to February 2026. This initiative has been incredibly successful with more than 130,000 tickets distributed.
Project Tingkat @ Bukit Panjang has reached out to 13,000 households, while the various Cost-of-Living
related initiatives have engaged 2,500 residents through collaboration with local stakeholders.
Under the Project Riders initiative, we have established a support group to help about 490 of our town’s delivery riders.
Other initiatives such as Project Uncle and Project Service Heroes further connected us to our residents and our service workers.
As we continue to engage with and listen to all of you, I remain dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive Bukit Panjang where everyone matters.

Masyarakat adalah teras kepada semua yang kami lakukan, dan kami komited untuk menyokong setiap penduduk dalam perjalanan hidup serta kesejahteraan diri yang lebih baik untuk mereka.
Untuk membantu para penduduk menampung kos sara hidup, kami melancarkan Bukit Panjang One Dollar Deals pada bulan Mac 2024, yang telah dilanjutkan hingga Februari 2026. LIVING AN ACTIVE LIFE
We are committed to ensuring that everyone in Bukit Panjang can lead active and healthy lives. We will enhance the lifestyle related amenities in and around the town by creating more recreational spaces including upcoming Sport-in-Precincts (SIPs), new Central Manpower Base (CMPB) that comes with sporting and F&B offerings, new therapeutic parks and Wellness Hub at N5 Park.
To support active and healthy lifestyle for seniors, we’ve also added more community wellness facilities tailored to their needs, including three new Active Ageing Centres, with two more upcoming. These centres provide spaces for social activities, fitness, and community engagement, promoting active lifestyles. We’ve also upgraded Fitness Corners at locations like Block 115 Pending Road, Block 270 Bangkit Road, and Block 406 Fajar Road, alongside new indoor gyms for all-weather exercise. Health screenings and wellness programmes support residents in staying active and connected. The Bukit Panjang Polyclinic, which includes day care and nursing facilities, enhances access to quality healthcare.
Bukit Panjang will always be a place for fun and lifestyle activities that keep residents connected and active!
MOVING FORWARD SUSTAINABLY
At Bukit Panjang, we’re committed to a greener future. From installing 227 blocks solar panels to fully switching to LED lighting, we’re reducing our carbon footprint. We’ve also installed 81 EV chargers and are rolling out Elevator Energy Regeneration System to existing lifts for even more energy efficiency. Our community gardens, recycling initiatives such as clothes, food, e-waste, and more than 500 trees planted bringing us together to embrace sustainability and care for our environment, making Bukit Panjang a cleaner, greener place to call home.

We will continue to enhance accesses to the town’s surrounding green assets, for residents to conveniently enjoy our rich nature reserves.
STAYING IN TOUCH
There is no substitute to ground interaction with residents to ensure we stay in touch. Post-pandemic, we’ve significantly stepped up activities way above pre-pandemic levels, spanning our outreach to almost 400,000 participants. We have also conducted over 420 house visits. Over the last five years, social and care services have been expanded with a twofold increase in number of beneficiaries, transforming Bukit Panjang into a place for everyone. 为了保持与居民的密切联系，我们积极通过各项活动深入 社区，与居民互动。疫情后，我们大幅增加了活动力度，规模 远超疫情前水平，覆盖近40万参与者。我们也进行了超过 420座组屋家访。过去的5年，为了让武吉班让成为更温馨的 社区，我们扩大了社区关怀计划的范围，使受益人数增长了 一倍。
