An interior design sensation at home in Southern California and abroad in mainland China and Europe, Burbridge Design Group has gained a distinctive reputation. A lifelong lover of the fine arts and an artist, Julie Burbridge founded the Laguna Beach firm in 1981. Each project is custom-designed from the front door, including custom tile and cabinetry, furniture, pillows, bedding, and draperies. The detail-oriented approach results in nothing less than lovely, inviting, masterfully edited rooms. In 1992 Julie began designing tableware for such industry giants as Grazia of DeRuta, Italy, Sasaki, Christian Dior, and Mikasa. In 2009, she opened studio julie b. to provide the Chinese consumer market with a range of interior furnishings that matched those seen in the model homes she’d been designing in China since 2002. With interiors and custom products by Burbridge from Laguna Beach to Shanghai, San Francisco to Beijing, the firm’s appeal truly transcends cultures.
