MATHS OLYMPIAD 2022
An Initiative of Pak-Turk Maarif Pak-Turk Maarif believes that a healthy combat nourishes minds, enhances learners’ survival instincts, and motivates the young minds to aim at excellence in their innate skills. Therefore, we offer MISMO (Maarif Inter School Maths Olympiad) to all young brilliant minds of Pakistan once a year, to encourage them to exhibit their skills and expertise in calculations at a neutral platform. Maarif Inter School Maths Olympiad (MISMO) is an annual nation-wide competition that calls forth the Math geniuses to solve standard Mathematical problems in a given time period, to win hefty prize money. 10 top
scorers are selected from each standard i.e., 4 to 8, and awarded with cash prizes at regional level (Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Multan, Jamshoro and Peshawar) and first 3 top scorers at national level.

16000 students participated in 15th MISMO 2019 15th MISMO was held on 30th Nov, 2019, in which around 16000 students from grades 4-8 had gathered at 44 MISMO centres located in 20 different cities of Pakistan. In a whole, 754 schools participated in this mega event, including 708 private and 46 public schools. A total sum of 4.6 million rupees had been distributed among the top scorers: 4 million at regional level and 0.6 million at national level. The national ceremony was held at Marriott Hotel Islamabad on 8th March 2020, under the honourable presence of Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, his excellency Mr Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, and the chairman of Pak-Turk Maarif, Mr. Harun Kucukaladagli.

MISMO Maarif Inter School Maths Olympiad
Maarif Inter-School Math Olympiad is an unequivocal medium for the exchange of academic culture of the managements and administrations, teachers, and students of different private and public schools of Pakistan. The students are directed to solve mathematical problems as per their academic grades and test their aptitude at analytical thinking. In order to encourage and motivate the young and enthusiastic students, the winners of the competition are awarded with amazing prizes and certified recognition.
Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan The top position holder from Gr a d e 8 a t the National level is awarded with the prestigious title of Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan. This title pays homage to the greatest M u s l i m Mathematician of the history, Muhammad ibn Mūsā Al-Khwārizmī (c. 780 – c. 850).
The Prize Distribution Ceremonies for MISMO are held at two levels: Regional and National Levels
National Level 1st: PKR. 75,000 2nd: PKR. 50,000 3rd: PKR. 25,000
Regional Level 1st: PKR. 15,000 2nd: PKR. 10,000 3rd: PKR. 7,000 4th - 10th: PKR. 5,000
Customized Results for School Networks MISMO is offering customized assessment of participants’ individual positions school-wise, city-wise, region-wide, and nation-wide. That means, if many students from one school chain are participating in MISMO, they will know where they stand with reference to their own school fellows as well. This innovative feature is introduced to instill a sense of achievement among the students via a heightened sense of competition.
The Bigger, The Better This year, the students from grade 4 can also participate in MISMO, and exhibit to the world their skills at Mathematics. They will compete with other students of Grade 4 from all public and private schools of Pakistan. Moreover, the reward for the top position holder at National level is also 75,000/- PKR along with some exciting surprises. And this cash prize is for each grade from 4th to 8th. However, the prestigious title of ‘Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan’ is solely granted to the national top position holder of Grade 8.
Registration Guidelines Registration to MISMO is very easy, and can be accomplished in a few easy steps: 1. The registrations will be Open on September 1, 2022 2. Students from Grade 4 to 8 can participate in MISMO 2022. 3. A student who has been registered/ has participated in past is not allowed to appear in the exam for the same grade in next years. 4. Last date of registration is October 28, 2022. 5. No registration will be taken into consideration after the deadline. 6. The Roll number slips can be downloaded from MISMO website www.mismo.pk
