Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Azam Khan has made an appeal to religious leaders and Ulema belong to all schools of thoughts to play due role for promotion of sectarian harmony in the province

The Chief Minister appreciated the role of re- ligious leaders and Ulema in pacifying the sentiments of the general masses after an unpleasant incident that took place in a private sector educational institution in Peshawar the other day; and said that the provincial government highly valued their positive role
He has said that religious leaders and Ulema of the province have always been playing very positive role in such matters; and expressed the hope that the Ulema will play the same role in future as well
Muhammad Azam Khan has further said that in the context of the prevailing law & order situation of the province and the peaceful holding of the upcoming general elections; there is a dire need of a peaceful environment in the province as it was ever before adding that the province could not afford any kind of unrest or sectarian issue in the prevailing situation
He once again made an appeal to the religious leaders and Ulema of all sects to further promote sectarian harmony and to play their important role in pacifying the sentiments of the general public in such incidents so that such issues could be dealt with as per law
He further said that Modi government has turned Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) the largest prison in the world by abolishing Article 370 of Indian Constitution
The Minister said that 900,000 Indian troops had made the lives of people miserable in IIOJK adding that Modi had a long-standing dream and agenda, which he had followed to appease rSS and Hindu extremists Sharjeel Memon said that Pakistani nation had a principled and historical stand on the issue of IIOJK He pledged that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would continue to support Kashmiris until their right to self-determination as per a resolution of United Nations (UN)

The Sindh government, in collaboration with Oxford University, has decided to launch a Master ’s degree programme for teachers across the province According to details, the development was announced by Sindh education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah while addressing an International Teachers Conference in Karachi
Addressing the conference Syed Sardar Ali Shah claimed that the provincial government has addressed the shortage of teachers in Sindh government schools, adding that training of newly recruited was underway
The minister said the government, in collaboration with Oxford University, has decided to launch a Master ’s degree programme, adding that another programme to make the Teachers Training Institute more efficient has been launched earlier in January, the Sindh education department had decided to sack 40 ghost teachers across the province According to the Sindh education department, 40 teachers including staff and clerical department employees will be sacked The employees include 17 junior school teachers, 8 higher school teachers, 4 guards, 1 junior clerk and 1 lane assistant A show-cause notice was issued to these 40 ghost employees Upon no response, the education department would strip them of their posts

Punjab Inspector General of Police dr Usman Anwar on Sunday categorically declared that no any delay in the registration of FIr was acceptable and indiscriminate strict departmental action will be taken against responsible officers and officials

The IG Police directed all rPOs CPOs and dPOs should ensure registration of FIrs of all confirmed incidents of theft, robbery and dacoity and submit a certificate in this regard to the Central Police Office by 12 midnight on Monday dr Usman Anwar directed that the CPOs and dPOs should ensure that no
FIrs of confirmed cases of dacoity, robbery and theft are left pending He stressed upon CPOs and dPOs to improve the process of monitoring and even if anyone is found involved in such delay tactics, there should be no hesitation in taking action against him
The IG Police directed that the show cause notices of the SHOs who were suspended for not taking timely action on the complaints of the citizens should be decided within 24 hours and complete departmental action against them
The IGP said that show-cause notices should be made a part of the service record of SHOs and they should never be posted in these police stations again IG Punjab clarified that only the officers who consider problems of citizens as their own problem will be able to stay on field posting because our main job is to protect the life and property of the public The officers who fail in this responsibility will have no right to stay on good posting He reiterated that the officers and officials who do not register the cases of robbery, dacoity and theft in time should prepare themselves for action He issued these instructions to the officers during a surprise visit to 1787 Complaint Centre IG Punjab listened to the calls of citizens and reviewed action taken on the complaints
Moreover, IG Punjab dr Usman Anwar encouraged the traffic wardens who performed their duties diligently and awarded them with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes Inspector rana Ahsan and Traffic Warden rizwan traced the fake number plate vehicle and detained it in Police Station Factory Area within a few hours, on which IG Punjab gave rana Ahsan and rizwan CC1 certificates and cash reward IG Punjab said that encouraging the officers and personnel of good performance during duty is a good tradition so rPOs and dPOs should continue to encourage hardworking, capable and dutiful personnel in their districts On this occasion, CTO lahore Captain retired Mustansar Feroze was also present
