MALSHEJ GHAT One of the most beautiful tourist spots in Maharashtra, Malshej Ghat located within easy access from both Pune and Mumbai is a popular weekend destination for people looking for a quick gateway. The Ghat located in the rough hills of the Sahyadri range wears a dreamy look during the monsoons (One of the best times to visit) with its heavy and dark clouds, misty veil and thundering waterfalls cascading down the hills. And with its lush green landscapes, towering peaks, bottomless valleys, rolling meadows, roaring waterfalls and pure mountain air, Malshej Ghat is heaven for hikers, trekkers, adventurers, nature lovers and picnic goers who wouldn’t mind getting drenched in the rains for an enthralling journey to the many hills and forts located in the area.

CONCEPT DESIGN Malshej Ghat is a beautiful ecotourist destination with a number of tourists coming from all over the world visiting the city every year. The mesmerizing nature there is like a real heaven on earth. Undoubtedly, we can call this place ‘the City of Miracle’. The main attractions are the greenery, the mountain range, the valleys, the animals, the historical places, the adventurous activities, the cool climate and the beautiful sceneries.

For the preliminary site location analysis, the site may be affected by the noise and the traffic from the villages, particularly the big village is situated in front of the site. The problems can be reduced by planting tall trees for privacy along fence line. On the back of the site, there is a beautiful mountain view, home to many native species of birds and wildlife, dark woods, and forest. The mountain is one of the main tourist attractions for this town.

Zoning can be divided into 3 main areas as follow: 1. Common Area – locating the common area in the middle of the project will enable users to get an easy access to and from other sections; plaza. 2. Semi-Common Area – a place connecting to the common area; it is a designed outdoor space which encourages outdoor activities and leisure in outdoor spaces associated with the project development; a base for outdoor adventurous activities like mountain biking, trekking, etc. 3. Private Area – located in a place further away from other places, privacy is the main concern. This zone is designed for a lobby and villas where everyone can take a rest.

From the main entrance of the site, there will be a landmark that leads us to the main common area. From there, we will be to see many parts of the site. The common area can be called plaza; a place to meet up and catch up for everyone.

Parking area is designed to be near the front entrance of the project. There will be small cars for pick up and transfer between buildings; this is to prevent the level of traffic that may affect the scenery of the site. Bringing guests from the parking area to the plaza, they will be impressed by the landscaping and the scenery of the site. From the plaza, guests can separate to their own villas to spend time of their own. They can choose to relax or do some activities. There are connecting paths to all different zones so everyone can switch or continue to do as many activities.
