XR TREKKING The legendary XR TREKKING was the first inflatable canadian canoe designed lightweight, compact and suitable to be taken as luggage on air travel. It was already in production over 30 years ago by the METZELER company. Its distribution was later taken over by the BIG PACK outdoor specialists. In 1998 the XR TREKKING boating programme was continued by GRABNER, to customary GRABNER quality standard. Today boats still share the shape of the first original XR, there have since been considerable detail improvements though. The XR TREKKING is of relatively flat build, hence hardly susceptible to wind. High aspect bow and stern offer excellent riding characteristics and a balanced measure of directional stability and sinuous agility. The new XR TREKKING is a unique boat which can be used in a two-fold manner: • as a kayak, with seat and double blade paddle • as a canadien canoe, with seat board and single blade paddles (or double blade paddle). That makes the boat unbelievably versatile, ideal for exploring lakes, rivers, white-water and even coastal waters. 15 backrest-seat adjustments permits the craft to be used as single, double- or even three seater boat (i.e. for parents with an infant). The seating position can be set precisely to suit leg comfort of the canoeists, hence it is easy to trim the boat exactly and relative to load. For those who were in doubt, whether doubleor single blade paddling is more suitable for them, the XR TREKKING is the best choice offering greatest satisfaction.
