A Message from the CEO~ Merle Lacert Hello Members, Summer is upon us, and while it is a quieter time for the Chamber, we are working to define our next year ahead. We are excited to have five new Directors joining our Board for the 2013-2014 season. Please watch for the September newsletter for full information on our entire 2013 – 2014 Board of Directors. The Prince Albert & District Chamber of Commerce is working to define our calendar of events and luncheons for the next year. In addition to our normal operations, we will also be completing initiatives through our Investment & Growth and Government Affairs Committees. We do have a current survey out to our membership, please take the time to complete and offer some insights, all insights gained are important as we assess and organize our priorities for the year ahead. Although we are busy planning for the next year, we also have several events occurring in June. We are looking to offer our members information on various topics; June 11/13 Presentation by Service Canada to advise business owners/managers on the many programs and services that Service Canada offers to business, June 20/13 – Join us for a “Productivity 101” presentation, this presentation is geared to assist employers get more form their current work force through gained efficiencies , currently very valuable as many employers face labour challenges or shortages. As well we will be hosting a luncheon on June 27/13 with the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation, come hear about current research as well as examples of how previous research has lead to current improvements with our healthcare.
