On the cover this month is the recently sold original Superman cover art from 1939 of the “Man of Steel” that appeared on Action Comics #15. It sold for $286,800 at Heritage Auctions’ vintage comics and comic art sale, which was held on Feb. 22. The action-packed sale grossed over $4.7 million. As we anticipate spring and a heightened show schedule, numerous exciting events are lined up for the month of April. Noteworthy events held during rare book week in New York City include The Manhattan Vintage Book & Ephemera Fair, along with The Fine Press Book Fair. They are being held April 5 and 6. The Spring Long Island Vintage Paper show is on April 12 and 13, and the Antique City “Fun Fair” will also run on April 12 and 13.
