We are the oldest student-run Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) newsmagazine in the nation. Since 1977, we have covered news, analysis, commentary, criticism and insight of the APIDA community. Through a dynamic combination of coverage ranging from local campus issues to politics, from arts and culture to opinion, this publication creates an on-going dialogue that offers insight into the dynamics of being an APIDA in America. Pacific Ties serves to challenge the perceptions of APIDA identity, as well as to celebrate the achievements of the communities we all have ties to.
