After a long and distinguished career in the Dental Corps of the United States Army, Colonel Theresa Gonzales returned to her home state of South Carolina. Presently, she serves as a Professor of Oral Pathology and the Director of Orofacial Pain Management at the Medical University of South Carolina - where she has been recognized as the 2014 and 2015 Outstanding Basic Sciences Professor.

Trey Petty is the former Director of Dentistry and Oral Medicine for the Calgary Health Region at the Foothills Medical Centre and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, and on faculty at the University of Calgary Medical School.
