Head Coach Andrew Rondeau Andrew Rondeau was named to lead the Pace Football program on January 10, 2014. He comes to Pace with an extensive background in Division I and II.

Rondeau earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Syracuse University in 1991. He and his wife, Tiffany, have two sons, Ryan and Jack, and two daughters, Alison and Kiley.

For the past two seasons, Rondeau was the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at The College of the Holy Cross. In addition to his coaching duties, he was also responsible for organizing community service initiatives for the football team as well as assisting with recruiting.

Prior to Holy Cross, Rondeau was part of restarting the football program at Old Dominion University where he was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach from 2007-11. During his time with the Monarchs, Rondeau helped lead the team to an overall record of 27-8 in his final three seasons, with the school earning its first-ever bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs in 2011. Four players from his defense earned All-Colonial Athletic Association honors during the 2011 campaign, including CAA Defensive Player of the Year Ronnie Cameron. Old Dominion also ranked second in the CAA in both quarterback sacks and takeaways that season, while standing third in the conference in rushing defense. In 2010, Rondeau’s defense ranked 11th in the nation in tackles for loss and 19th in quarterback sacks. In the first season of varsity play in 2009, Rondeau’s defense ranked eighth in the country in takeaways. His first two seasons at Old Dominion (2007 and 2008) were spent building the program from the ground up, prior to the team’s first season of varsity competition in 2009.

Assistant Coaches Corey HETHERMAN Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers

Corey Hetherman enters his first year as Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach on Coach Rondeau's staff. He comes to Pace from Old Dominion University where he coached on the defensive side of the ball for four seasons. He served as the defensive run game coordinator in his final two seasons with the Monarchs as well as the linebackers coach. Prior to Old Dominion, Hetherman was part of the coaching staff at Western New England College where he served as the Offensive and Recruiting Coordinator in 2010. From 2009-10, he coached the outside linebackers at Northeastern and was also a graduate assistant at Springfield College and interned with the King's College football program. Hetherman was the starting quarterback for Fitchburg State College from 2003-2005 and led the team to an record of 21-11. He led the Falcons to a pair of MASCAC Championships as well as a two-time NEFC Bogan Division Champions, and qualified for two ECAC Bowl appearances. In his senior season, he was named as team captain and was selected to the MASCAC and NEFC All-Scholastic Teams three times in his career. Following graduation, Hetherman was the starting quarterback for the Austrian Football League's Carinthian Black Lions and the German Football League's Wuerzburg Panthers. In 2007, Hetherman served as the Offensive Coordinator with the Panthers. He graduated from Fitchburg State in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education and is currently pursuing his Master’s from Springfield College in Physical Education in Athletic Administration.

the head coach at Bridgton Academy. His players also saw success in the classroom as his team posted a 3.06 GPA in 2013. Prior to Bridgton Academy, he worked as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach for Kenyon College in Ohio. In addition, Walker served on both sides of the ball with linebackers and tight ends as well as special teams, including coaching kickers and coordinating the punt return unit for Lafayette College. Walker was a four year Varsity Letter winner for Lafayette from 2002-05. During his time at Lafayette, Walker was Patriot League All-Conference selection in 2005 and a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection. He was an All-League selection by nfldraftscout.com in 2005 and was selected to participate in the East Coast Bowl that season as well. Walker received a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology from Lafayette in 2006. Following his graduation from Lafayette, Walker first played professionally in NFL Italy as a player/coach and went on to play in the European Federation of American Football in Sweden. He then returned to the States to coach at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia, working with the defensive line.

Reggie GARRETT Defensive Backs Reggie Garrett comes to Pace after one season on the University of Rhode Island coaching staff. Garrett served as the cornerbacks for the Rams for the 2013 season and assisted in defensive film breakdown. Additionally, he created scouting reports for defensive players, ran film sessions and assisted with practices and game days.

Chad WALKER Oﬀensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Chad Walker joins the Setters following a successful run as the head coach for Bridgton Academy.

Walker comes to Pace after serving for two seasons as the head coach and quarterbacks coach for Bridgton Academy in Maine. He posted a winning record in two seasons as 7

Garrett was a four-year player for Norfolk State University from 2009-12, converting from quarterback to wide receiver in his sophomore season. He finished his career with 73 receptions for 815 yards with three touchdowns in 29 games played at Norfolk State. Garrett earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Norfolk State in December 2012 in Building Construction Technology.

Assistant Coaches Tyler CARD Oﬀensive Line Tyler Card comes to Pace from Weber State University where he was the Offensive Line Graduate Assistant.

While at Weber State, Card coached the offensive line as well as serving as the assistant running backs coach and the academic coordinator for the past two seasons. He was responsible for film breakdown, creating scouting reports, organizing and implementing academic standards along with performing class check and supervising study hall. Prior to Weber State, Card was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Southern Virginia University from 2010-2012. In addition, he was the offensive and defensive line coach for Granite High School for one season. Card graduated from Southern Virginia in 2010 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Leadership. While at Southern Virginia, he played for three seasons and was an Honorable Mention All-American as a senior. He played in the NAIA Senior All-Star game that season and was a two-time Second Team All-Independent Conference selection. Card earned his Master’s Degree from Weber State in 2014 in Professional Communication.

an assistant coach for the White Plains football team. He was the offensive coordinator for three seasons while also coaching the quarterbacks and tight end position groups. Gilmartin-Donohue also worked as an assistant coach for the lacrosse team in 2012. Gilmartin-Donohue earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern in 2011.

Stephen GRUBER Defensive Line Stephen Gruber joins Pace with local experience, working in the Westchester County area.

Gruber comes to Pace after serving as the JV coach for the Mount Pleasant School District in 2013. He was the defensive coordinator and special teams coach for the JV squad, while also assisting with film breakdown and game planning for the varsity teams. Prior to Mount Pleasant, Gruber was the assistant JV coach for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District, working with the linebackers and wide receivers in 2012. Gruber was a four-year player for the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons as a defensive lineman. In 22 career games, he recorded 47 tackles, eight for loss, along with four sacks and one interception. As a senior, he was named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team.

Conor GILMARTINDONAHUE Tights Ends/Recrui ng Coordinator Conor comes to Pace with Division I playing experience as well as a background playing football in Westchester County.

Gilmartin-Donohue played for White Plains High School and was a three-sport standout. He played football, basketball and lacrosse, serving as a team captain for all three teams. He went onto play at the Division I level with stops at Northeastern for three seasons and North Texas for his senior year At Northeastern, he played in 31 games, hauling in 33 receptions for 330 yards and four touchdowns. As a senior, Gilmartin-Donohue played in nine games for North Texas, posting one reception. Gilmartin-Donohue returned to his alma mater in 2011 as

Assistant Coaches Joseph HAWKINS Running Backs Joseph Hawkins will coach the running backs this season. Hawkins comes to Pace from Division I Norfolk State University where he was a four-year player for the Spartans. While at Norfolk State, Hawkins played tight end for the Spartans playing in 46 games in four seasons. He caught 92 passes for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns and was a captain in his senior season. Hawkins was a three-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honoree, including twice being named to the first team as a junior and senior. As a senior, he was a HBCU Honorable Mention All-American as well as a BSN Third Team All-American. He was a member of the NSU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as the Vice President in his senior year. Hawkins earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Norfolk State in December 2013.

Devon SIMMONS Graduate Assistant/Wide Receivers Devon Simmons will serve as the graduate assistant coach, working with the wide receivers this season. Simmons was a four-year player at Old Dominion.

Simmons played defensive back for the Monarchs for four seasons, finishing with 191 tackles and three sacks. He posted nine career interceptions, which is tied for the most all-time in school history and his 97 interceptions returns yards in second all -time. He ranks third on the Monarchs’ record book in total career tackles. Simmons earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management with a minor in Management from Old Dominion in December 2013.

Timothy MARMOL Outside Linebackers Timothy Marmol enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Pace University football team. He will be in charge of coaching the outside linebackers.

Marmol joins the Pace staff following a stint at Division I Florida Atlantic University as an intern to the defense. In that role, he assisted the coaching staff in preparation for summer recruiting visits and helped the defensive line coach with summer high school camps. Prior to joining FAU, Marmol spent two seasons at MacMurray College in in Jacksonville, IL. For the Highlanders, he worked as the Defensive Line Coach, assistant recruiting coordinator and equipment coordinator. His first coaching assignment was as the defensive assistant coach at Santa Monica College. In addition to his work as a collegiate coach, Marmol has a broad experience in working at summer camps including at the University of Tennessee, the University of Illinois, and Notre Dame. Marmol is a 2010 graduate of the University of Delaware 9

Mike BOHLANDER Strength and Condi oning Mike Bohlander is in his eighth year as the Strength and Condition Coordinator for Pace Athletics. He is a 2002 graduate of Pace with a degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master's in Counseling. Bohlander is certified by the NSCA (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist).

As a four-year starter for the Division I Pace Baseball team, Bohlander rewrote the Setter record book, tying the single-season record for homeruns, blasting 17 in 2001 as a junior. For his career, he ranks second in school history in RBI and home runs, seventh in doubles, tenth in hits, and fourteenth in runs. During his tenure as a member of the Setters, Bohlander was named to the All-NYS Baseball Conference 1st Team in 2001, the ABCA-Converse All-Northeast Region Second Team in 2001, the ABCA-Rawlings All-Region Team in 2002 and was named to the NCAA Division I Independent All-Star Team in 2002. Bohlander was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 27th Round of 2002 MLB Draft.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Students with a creative flair and a desire to communicate have no problem finding an outlet; Pace sponsors two newspapers, two literary magazines, two radio stations, and two yearbooks. Plays, concerts, and performances by professionals and amateurs also enhance student life. There is also an active Student Government Association on each campus. The New York and Pleasantville campuses each sponsor several fraternities and sororities. While the emphasis is on good times and bonding, these organizations also put their energies to good work by sponsoring community service projects. Pace offers the opportunity to participate in athletics, either varsity or intramural. The Setters compete in 14 varsity sports in NCAA Division II with field hockey and women’s lacrosse opening play in 2015.

HISTORY OF PACE UNIVERSITY: Founded in 1906 by the Pace brothers, Homer and Charles, The Pace Institute was a business school for men and women who aspired to a better life. Homer and Charles Pace borrowed $600 to rent a classroom and office in the old Tribune building in lower Manhattan to teach 10 men and three women the principles of accounting and business law. That building once stood where the Pace Plaza building stands today.

Two years later, because of the overwhelming success of the Pace School of Accountancy, the Pace brothers relocated classes to the nearby Hudson Terminal complex. Another move to the Transportation Building at 225 Broadway took place in 1927 in response to continued growth. In 1948, Pace Institute was approved for college status by the New York Board of Regents. Academic expansion forced yet another move to 41 Park Row in 1951, and two years later Pace College received authorization from the State Education Department to grant the bachelor of arts degree. Classes began on the Pleasantville campus in 1963. The year before, the Marks Hall building was signed over to the College by Pace Trustee Wayne Marks, President of General Foods, and his wife, Helen. Soon after, Dyson Hall was constructed, named in honor of alumnus, Trustee and benefactor, Charles H. Dyson. Willcox Hall was named for Trustee and benefactor Byron Willcox. In 1965, the Undergraduate School of Business Administration, the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education were established. The year following, the School of Nursing was founded and was later named after alumnus, Trustee and benefactor Gustav Lienhard. In December 1966, at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Civic Center building, Vice President Hubert Humphrey promised to teach at Pace and conducted a Scholar-in-Residence seminar at the New York City campus. Finally, in 1973, the State Education Department approved Pace College's petition for university status. Two years later, the College of White Plains consolidated with Pace University, and the School of Law was established in 1976. The assets of Briarcliff College were acquired in 1977. In the years following, an international education center was opened by IBM Corporation, NYNEX opened a center and the Hastings Center moved its operations to the Briarcliff site. In 1983, the School of Computer Science and Information Systems was established as its own entity. In 1997, Pace purchased the World Trade Institute, a leading-edge provider of international training programs. Pace University today is a diverse institution with over 13,000 students. For 100 years, bright, motivated and talented men and women have walked out of Pace's many doors, degrees in hand, and have ventured into the world prepared for the challenges of each passing decade. Every year, curriculum offerings in schools and colleges are modified to meet the changing needs of ambitious and knowledgeable students.
