The 18-unit housing is located in one of the most densely populated area in Bangkok. The project’s main idea is aimed to create modern privacy townhome with good environment.
The building is distinguished by cantilevered planter boxes which is unlike most ordinary townhome. The vertical concrete facade acts as a shading device which affects the rhythmic shade on the front elevation during daytime.
The entrance foyer is used to transit from outside to inside. Passing through the transition space, the double volume of living room is adjacent to the courtyard at the back of the house. Space maximization can be done by opening the large sliding doors which create the connection between the interior and the landscape. To allow more natural wind breeze in the space, the windows on the mezzanine floor can be opened to elevate the airflow. The kitchen and dining area is wrapped by glass partition. Although the kitchen can be seen from the outside, it can be closed to prohibit the flow of the cooking smell.
The master bedroom with walk-in closet is on the entire second floor. The laundry area is on the third floor which does not obstruct the main functional area. There are two more bedrooms that can be the optional rooms for living or working room.
