philosophy We sense design excellence when we see it. We can feel when a design originates from passion and mastery, appearing so coherently it seems self-evident, surprising in its simplicity. This quality goes beyond form, style, materials, fashion and taste. In architecture, excellent design evolves from a deep understanding of all aspects of a project and the way they interact: creating the capability to transform this comprehension sensitively into dedicated architecture intimately connected to context and function. Excellent design integrates the timeless principles of appropriateness, proportion, attention to craft and detail, with progressive solutions holistically embracing tomorrow in a truly sustainable approach. It stands for the synthesis of practical efficiency and aesthetic values, giving design the capacity to endure.

Jaeger and Partner is driven by the pursuit of design excellence in every project, believing that the quality of our surroundings has a direct effect on the quality of our lives.

quality

Ensuring the highest level of quality for our projects in Asia was one of the main reasons for establishing Jaeger and Partner Architects’ branch in China. Our dedication to architecture bind us to execute and supervise every step in the design process with utmost diligence. Combining advanced state-of-the-art digital design techniques with traditional architect’s skills allows us to control highly complex design solutions with precision and efficiency. Another key qualification lies in our competence to consistently develop a design idea from concept to construction, from urban planning to building detail, without compromising quality at any stage. It is our conviction that this kind of consistency enables a building project to generate durable value in every manner.

sustainability

design excellence

We believe that true sustainability begins with minimizing the impact that the project has on the environment in the broadest sense, well before the application of green technologies. Our fundamental approach is to understand the building itself as a living environmental system. Optimizing building form, orientation, construction and faรงade systems minimizes additional demands for heating, cooling and lighting. Responsible urban design and efficient building planning are setting the foundations upon which the latest green technology and new building materials are integrated. Leading to reasonable and highly innovative design concepts, this design process furthermore considers the durability and adaptability of aesthetic and spatial aspects ensuring attractive amenity in the long term.

sensibility

Solution is inherent in every task. This is especially true regarding architecture. Analysing the cultural, social, economical and environmental context of a project understanding the site’s unique character of the site and the client’s needs is crucial to develop appropriate designs. Most creative solutions have their roots in rational considerations and practical approaches derived from the nature of the task itself. Reinforcing this concept in comprehensive interactions with the client, Jaeger and Partner Architects aim for tailored individual design solutions created with common sense and a passion for outstanding design.

holism

Architecture directly influences the quality of our lives in many respects. At Jaeger and Partner Architects we believe that a key characteristic of quality architecture is to consider all aspects regarding buildings as interdependent systems rather than an accumulation of separate components. A broad spectrum of abilities in multiple disciplines allows us to look holistically at complex design tasks, balancing the factors of site environment, structure, systems and project function in highly efficient design strategies made in one piece. In this integrated approach, form and function synthesize an inseparable entity of interacting systems that as a result of synergy, becomes more than the sum of its parts.
