Introduction to Louisiana Louisiana is among one of the first states in the country to establish a suite of entertainment tax incentive programs that include motion picture, live performance, sound recording and digital interactive media. Louisiana’s overall entertainment industry is growing, in terms of jobs, investment and total economic impact. The entertainment industry supports thousands of jobs in Louisiana. Louisiana has built a strong, indigenous infrastructure in the entertainment industry. This infrastructure makes Louisiana an attractive destination for investment by the industry. Louisiana is home to production-friendly infrastructure found in diverse locations around the state including state-of-the-art soundstages and post-production houses; and a skilled crew base that has grown by more than 400 percent since 2002. Louisiana is a one stop shop in production assets: professional, experienced crew, writers, musicians, composers, interactive entrepreneurs and a broad spectrum of service vendors. Louisiana is no stranger to producing home grown accolades in the industry - from Academy Award winning Moonbot Studios in Shreveport and Sundance Film Festival’s World Cinema Jury Prize winner Court 13 in New Orleans to Grammy Award winning Rebirth Brass Band in New Orleans, Louisiana is a hot bed of natural, creative talent.
