Kendargent’s sample size is so small simply because he covered so few mares in
2011 at his bargain basement fee of €1,000. The situation has changed markedly since then, however. His book of mares in 2013 numbered around 140 at a €6,000 fee, and while his yearling returns this year may have been enhanced by their rarity value, the Haras de Colleville resident still looks to be well priced at €15,000 in 2014.
