Westwood One to Broadcast OVC Championship Game: For the fourth consecutive season, the 2013 Men’s Basketball Championship game will be broadcast by the Westwood One radio network, the largest provider of audio content in America. Westwood One is one of the nation’s largest providers of network radio programming and one of the largest domestic providers of traffic information in the U.S. Westwood One serves more than 5,000 radio and 170 TV stations in the U.S. Westwood One provides over 150 news, sports, music, talk and entertainment programs, features and live events to numerous media partners. Westwood One is home of the most prestigious sports broadcasts on radio. Westwood One’s lineup includes regular season NFL football, the Playoffs and the Super Bowl; NCAA Football and Basketball including the Final Four; College World Series; Frozen Four; the Olympics; the Masters and more. Through its Metro Traffic division, Westwood One provides traffic reporting and local news, sports and weather to approximately 2,300 radio and TV stations. Westwood One also provides digital and other cross-platform delivery of its network and Metro content. Replay Systems for OVC Basketball Venues Enter Year Four: On Dec. 21, 2007, the Ohio Valley Conference mandated the use of courtside replay systems at all OVC basketball venues. The systems were put into place in January 2008 and have been used since. The systems are used in situations that are outlined by NCAA rules.

ALL-TIME COACHING VICTORIES Austin Peay head coach Dave Loos became the winningest coach in OVC history during the 2009-10 season. Loos passed the all-time mark previously held by Cal Luther (319). Below is a list of where the 12 current head coaches rank in OVC history. The overall record listed includes only seasons the coaches were a member of the OVC. In total, 98 coaches have led programs while a member of the OVC from 1948 to the present.

Isaiah Canaan was named the OVC Preseason Player of the Year after earning OVC Player of the Year honors at the end of last season. In 2011-12 Canaan earned All-American honors from seven different outlets including the Wooden Team (one of 10 total players), The Sporting News (first-team), CBSSports. com (first-team), Associated Press (second-team), USBWA (second-team), NABC (third-team) and Lute Olson Team. He helped Murray State to a 31-2 record, Top 10 national ranking and a NCAA Tournament victory over Colorado State during the season.
