1.0 Definitions The purpose of cleaning a room before the arrival of a new guest is to bring the room to a level of cleanliness and order to create an inviting, attractive, comfortable, and wellmaintained and santised accommodating space. Once cleaned, the room should be odourless, free of dust, dirt, flies and insects. The Cleaning of Arrival Room Procedure includes:

Use of Disposable Gown
3.1.1
Wear gown or apron to protect skin or trunk and to prevent soiling of clothing during procedures that are likely to generate splashes or sprays of blood, body fluids, secretions, or excretions. 6.0 PRELIMINARIES 6.1.1 Entering a room Ring the doorbell. In case no one answers, Knock softly with two fingers. Announce your “Housekeeping”.

In case someone opens up, say: "Good morning / afternoon Sir / Madam, this is Housekeeping. I apologise to disturb you; I will come back later to make the room." by keeping 1 meter distance apart.
Otherwise knock “Housekeeping”.

Knock third time and say “Housekeeping”. If there is no answer, open the door with the key six inches and announce “Housekeeping" again.

6.1.2 Preliminary Setup
Always place banner on the door knob while cleaning the guest room. Always leave the entrance door open while cleaning guest room.
Place vacuum cleaner inside the room by the door. Place Hand Caddie for Cleaning Tools in the bathroom.
Draw out the curtains and open blinds to brighten the room. Curtains and blinds should remain open while cleaning the guest room.

6.1.3 Maintenance issues Inspect the room to locate any maintenance malfunction for repairs / finishing and / or for replacement by checking the following: Entrance door knob Entrance lamp - Wardrobe door - Closet light Hangers - Night lamps Outdoor handle and lock Bathtub taps - Bathtub drain Bathroom sinks - Sink Taps - Sink drains Bathroom lights - Large mirror - Side mirror Toilet flush mechanism Bedroom lights Balcony door Curtains hinge
Inform the floor supervisor to remedy the situation. Floor supervisor needs to follow up with maintenance team to solve the issues. Floor supervisor needs to assist the maintenance team in room.
6.1.4 Descale the toilet bowl
Apply the toilet cleaner product in the toilet bowl.
Scrub the toilet bowl with the toilet brush in a circular motion. Leave to rest.
6.1.5 Remove all dirty linens and empty all bins Remove all garbage from the following disposal cans and throw in the black garbage bag. 7.1 TERRACE 7.1.1 Terrace Cleaning
Fill in bucket 1/3 full of water. Dust the ceiling with broom to remove dust and cobwebs. Dust the ceiling light to remove dust and cobwebs Brush off dust from balustrade. Wipe balustrade with brown cloth to remove all stains.
Brush table and chairs with hand brush. Brush linings with toothbrush.
Wipe with brown disposable wipe. Tap cushions remove dust.

Wipe door and window glass with glass cleaner and disposable wipe.
Sweep the floor with broom from inner corner to water evacuation point. Apply Multi-purpose detergent in the floor. Scrub the floor with floor brush from inner corner to drain. Wash and rinse with hot water. Use squeegee to push water down the drain. Dry the floor with floor cloth.
Replace box of matches and candle. Sanitize whole touchable surface (chair, table, sunbed, ashtray, candle holder, balustrade, door).

7.2 BEDROOM 7.2.1 Bed Making
Remove the duvet and pillow place them on the chair. If any item found on the bed just fold it and place on the bed.
Check for any stain on the duvet cover, pillow case and bedsheet. If the duvet cover or pillow case or bedsheet has been stained, send back to laundry in a laundry bag and replace with a clean ones.
Put the bed sheet covers on the bed and tuck it in. Ensure that the band well tugged at both sides and square at the extremities. Fold the corners at the far end extremities at in a vertical 90 degrees shape

Place the bed cover symmetrically from both sides Fold the corners so as to make a kite shape on both sides
Place the first big pillow close to the headstand distanced equally. Place the second big pillow same distance from the edge of the bed. Align the medium pillow and small pillow to the centre of the big pillow. Replicate same pattern to the second set of pillows.
Place the bed kilt with both sides hanging symmetrically.

7.4 BATHROOM 7.4.1 Cleaning the Shower Cabinet
Rub the walls with the sponge and multi-purpose detergent.
Scrub brass to remove limestone from clogged holes with scourer.
Rub glass door with sponge and multi-purpose detergent. Wash and rinse glass door with hot water. Wipe rubber band lining and glass pane with glass cleaner and squeeze and disposal wipe.
Remove drain filter from floor. Scrub cabin floor with scourer and multi-purpose detergent.
Remove hair and scrub dirt off drain area.
Wash and rise walls and floor with hot water. Dry wall and floor with squeeze and disposable wipe.

Wipe mirror frame with disposable wipe. Clean the mirror pane with window cleaner and squeeze fromtop to bottom.

7.4.5 Cleaning the sink area
Polish big mirror with window cleaner and squeeze. Remove the drain filter and scrub to remove dirt and hair with scourer and multi-purpose detergent. Scrub the sink with scourer and multi-purpose detergent. Scrub outline of drain opening to remove all dirt and stains with toothbrush and multipurpose detergent. Scrub brass (taps) with scourer and multi-purpose detergent. Wash and rinse with hot water brass and sink.
Scrub surface of sink area with scourer and multi-purpose detergent. Wash and rise surface with hot water.
Dry & polish brass and surface with disposable wipe.
Wipe furniture with disposable wipe. Sanitize the touchable areas.

7.5 CLEANING THE FLOOR 7.5.1 Cleaning the entrance door
Wipe inner door panes from top to bottom with disposable wipe. Wipe frame linings from top to bottom with disposable wipe. Wipe outer door pane from top to bottom with disposable wipe.
Scrub the brass and drain opening with scourer. Wash and rinse walls from top to bottom with water Wipe dry with disposable wipe.
7.5.2 Cleaning the floor surface
Vacuum clean the floor from the balcony to the entrance to remove big dirt and dust. Ensure all the areas underneath furniture are clean.
Wipe floor thoroughly with floor cloth to remove stains and small particles.
On leaving the Guest room, make sure all equipment, products and PPEs are removed. Discard the PPE’s properly in waste bags.
