Host a SUMMER Movie Night At Your Church and Reach Families in Your City
Outreach Films equips churches to share God’s love through movies and other visual media – films that offer more than just entertainment. Film is the language of our day, setting the cultural tone and the patterns of thinking of this generation. Outreach Films allow you to "speak the language" of your community and create opportunities to share the gospel.
Using movies to open conversations about faith is an effective way to appeal to people who may never set foot in your church otherwise. Hosting a movie night is the perfect "nonthreatening" event for your church to invite people in the community to see a faith-based message. It's also a great way to connect with your church members and offer a fun way for them to participate this summer.
Why Do You NEED A License? Every movie you buy or rent is only authorized for in-home use. To hold a public showing, you always need a license, otherwise you are infringing on copyright law. Outreach Films provides movie licenses that allows you to legally show a movie in your church and to promote your showing to the public using the title, actors and art from the movie (CVLI does not include this right).

Step 2: Order YOUR MOVIE LICENSE AND TOOLS Step 3: DECIDE WHEN TO HOST YOUR EVENT · Host an all-church movie night once a month in June, July, and August · Create a youth event and encourage teens to bring their friends to the movie · Change up your mid-week service with a film night · Host a family movie event on a Saturday night, then follow up in the weeks after by launching the corresponding sermon series or small groups
Step 4: Plan, Promote, and HOST YOUR EVENT Add your church movie night information to your promotional materials (Posters, InviteTickets and Bulletin Inserts). Show your congregation the movie trailer to get them excited, then encourage them to invite their family and friends.
