Abc family has struck gold once again with its ability to master the mystery genre. The network’s new hit series Twisted, starring Avan Jogia, shows the young star in a new but shining light, playing convicted killer Danny Desai. I’m really interested in rap-beef. I like to go on WorldStar Hip-Hop and see who’s currently beefing. I’ve been listening to Yeezuz a lot. I don’t know if [Kanye West] is the funniest man

on the earth or the most arrogant. I don’t know if he’s just the best comic all around or maybe just not a good person. However, he’s a really good music producer. His album “The Graduation” was a really important album for me in terms of me getting into and listening to rap. Getting involved with Twisted was a very creative process all-around. I went in a couple of times and had a lot of conversations with the directors and producers of the pilot. It was quite a long process. They really cared about finding the right guy and wanted to do it right. I had a

lot of fun bringing in my own version of Danny and making sure we were all on the same page regarding the character. I’m learning now, more as an actor, that the genre doesn’t only change the way things are written, but also the style that it’s acted in. Victorious, for me, was kind of a leap in another direction. I had to learn a new set of skills. Speaking loudly so everyone could hear you and then nailing a joke. Sitcom jokes are like music. It’s very much like a pattern. I’ve done stage and one-hour dramas before, Twisted lets me get back to that.
