I am Datuk Yuro TY, a Singaporean businessman. I am currently the CEO of Tri-T Group and NEST CAPITAL Partners HK Ltd, a holding company involved in mineral mining, real estate, online gaming, and investment.

I joined TRI-T GROUP in 2014 as CEO and handle different kinds of investors and 6000+ employees. As the group CEO, I thrive and ensure everything will be in place. I am well connected with a 48M USD net worth. Comment end

2. What brings you to the UAE?

In 2016 the board of directors decided to explore the UAE market to trade gold and diamond as well as real estate investment. So far, it has been a success for the company.

3. Why do business in the UAE? The business environment attracts us to expand to the UAE. It’s business-friendly to locals and foreigners, and here in the UAE, local Emiratis respect and help foreign investors like us. With my royal title, UAE is a great place to do business.

4. Tell us more about Tri-T Group and what you do in the UAE and around the world.

Tri-T Group is the head operations office based out of Dubai, UAE. The company works as a property development firm which deals with real estate and property renovations. Tri-T Group also offers traders the option to invest in gold, silver and other precious metals and stones in Dubai. The main goal is to help clients realise their investment needs, as well as property needs, with the Tri-T Group team of highly skilled and qualified professionals.

The company deals with bullion trading and the sale of uncut diamonds, precious stones and other metals. 5. What aspects of your business are non-negotiable?

Doing business in the UAE is different from what we have in other countries. In the UAE, trust is crucial, especially in our line of business. It is imperative that whatever you say, you must do it. That can’t be negotiated.

6. How do you decide what companies/products to invest in?

I always have to ensure all aspects are considered when making a decision. If it’s a challenge we’ve never encountered, a discussion with my board is needed. We look at the options and decide whether or not to invest.

7. What is your definition of success?

Success is when you make other people happy. Meaning you have already made it through the process of your life. It’s not always about money; money is not the basis of success.

8. What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?

Pray and work hard until you achieve your goals, and then make your dreams come true. Start your own business as young as you can or help your family with their business.

9. If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?

If I write a book about myself, the title would be “A Man with no Name”. I always want to be in the background, even with everything I have and the title, I prefer to keep a low profile.

10. What are some of your everyday habits?

First thing in the morning, when I wake up, I pray. I make time for my family despite my busy work schedule. I also make time for my pets. I love dogs and cats. I close the day with prayer.

11. What advice would you give to an entrepreneur starting out?

My advice to all start-ups is that if you want to be successful in the future, you must have a mentor and take their wise advice. Secondly, get an idol you admire and learn from them. Be patient, running a business is not an easy thing.

12. Who inspires you with awe and why?

My father inspires me. I know him and his style of running the business, and even though he is old, he is hands-on with his business.

13. What’s that one quote you live by?

My quote would have to be, “Live one day at a time.”

1. Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a mother of one, an architect, and an art lover. My passion for art and architecture began at a young age when I would spend hours drawing and designing buildings. As I grew older, I became fascinated by the ability of architecture to shape our experiences and environments.

2. Tell us about your career journey.

I graduated from the University of Sharjah with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering in 2013. After graduation, I joined Dubai Municipality in the engineering, sustainability, and renewable energy field, which sparked a passion in me for sustainable design. This led me to pursue my studies in Masters of Science in Sustainable Design of the Built Environment at the British University in Dubai.

I started my career as a Senior Building Engineer, where I conducted research and studies in the sustainable-smart buildings field. I was passionate about raising awareness on sustainability and green buildings through campaigns, talks, and events. Through my work on several sustainability-focused projects I was awarded the Young Engineer of the Year - MEE 2015 award. I then got promoted to Head of Research and Sustainability Studies, where I managed the sustainability strategic plan, research, and continued to work on raising awareness across Dubai through building partnerships with various academic, private, and movement stakeholders.

In 2018, I joined the Dubai Future Foundation as an Associate Project Manager. I was fortunate to work with amazing teams on various projects like Dubai10X, One Million Arab Coders, and the Museum of the Future (Humans 2.0) when it was still an idea at the World Government Summit 2019. This then led to me joining the Museum of the Future team, where I initially worked at the creative department and then moved to become the acting head of programming. In my role, I design educational and informative programmes at the museum, such as talks, workshops, and activations.

3. Why did you decide to work at Museum of the Future?

The Museum of the Future (MOTF) is an inspiring place where I can explore and learn about the future. As an architect, I am always interested in how technology and design intersect, and the Museum of the Future provides an incredible platform for me to explore this intersection.

I am excited about the prospect of working with like-minded individuals who are passionate about innovation, creativity and, of course, the future.

What draws me to the Museum of the Future is the idea that everything is possible. The institution is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is deemed possible, and I believe that this mindset is essential for progress and growth. I am constantly seeking new challenges and I want to work in an environment that encourages experimentation and creativity. Being an architect and working at this iconic place is a bonus for me.

4. What is the inspiration behind the idea of MOTF? Take us through the journey. The Museum of the Future, which opened in February 2022, has been termed the ‘most beautiful building on Earth’. The 77-ft modern architectural marvel, which tells the narrative of the future through a series of interactive exhibitions, invites people to experience the technologies and trends that will shape the future of humanity.

Spanning an area of 30,000 square metres, the pillar-less structure also represents a novel intellectual centre. It’s designed to foster a spirit of collaborative innovation among the Arab world’s leading scientists to inspire new out-of-the-box solutions to tomorrow’s greatest challenges and spur a new era of scientific discovery in the region and beyond.

Museum of the Future constitutes a platform for anticipating the future, and designing ideas in all scientific, economic, environmental and social sectors. The museum is home to a group of the latest advanced smart robots

5. Tell us about the exhibitions at MOTF. The Museum of the Future aims to be an incubator for experts specialising in a diverse range of innovation and future-focused sectors in the region and beyond, and serves

as a laboratory for the design of future cities, technologies, and concepts.

The exhibitions inspire a global intellectual movement that actively explores and foresees future changes in scientific, economic, environmental, and social sectors. It also forges opportunities for these changes to benefit humanity and improve the world we live in today, tomorrow and the future.

The exhibitions reflect a journey to the future, which is one of the most immersive exhibitions the museum has to offer and is designed to

The Museum of the Future provides an engaging immersive experience through various technologies, exhibitions and talks designed to encourage visitors to form their own perceptions about future opportunities, whilst inspiring them to design the future they wish to experience. The museum is also an important platform displaying and testing innovations of the world’s most innovative technology companies.

The museum leverages state-of-the-art technologies, including artificial intelligence and human-machine interaction, as part of the experience. It represents a permanent exhibition to showcase and review different aspects of the future and the most important technologies that will shape it.

Technology contributes significantly to developing our future prospects and can help to solve social and environmental challenges, as well as support future generations in adapting to and overcoming the challenges which will face us in the future.

Visitors to the Museum of the Future can learn about the important role artificial intelligence has to play in our society by interacting with robots that answer your questions using AI techniques. 7. What is most unique about the architecture of MOTF?

The museum is an architectural marvel way ahead of its time. The remarkable structure saw engineering approaches that have never been used before due to the structure’s unique shape and design. The most striking element lies in the Arabic calligraphy that seamlessly wraps around the entire façade and represents quotes from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai about the future, and from the inside represents a journey to the future. The Arabic quotes translate to:

“We may not live for hundreds of years, but the products of our creativity can leave a legacy long after we are gone.”

“The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn’t something you await, but rather create.”

“Innovation is not an intellectual luxury. It is the secret behind the evolution and rejuvenation of nations and people.”

8. How and why are themes like wellbeing, spirituality, ecology, and education selected as topics of interest?

The museum contributes to designing future lifestyles, communities and cities. By allowing people to experience the future today, the museum provides an insight into possible future scenarios, underlining their potential challenges and solutions. The Museum of the Future transports today’s generations to the world of tomorrow, offering them a glimpse of potential future scenarios. It helps people to understand that changing the planet for the better is still possible. People are reminded that with knowledge and science, nothing is impossible. The Museum of the Future has a supportive and stimulating role in the region and the world by investing in creative minds and embracing initiatives, ideas and research of qualitative value in future products.

9. What are the latest offerings that added to the museum’s experiences?

One of the newest additions to the Museum of the Future is a robot in the form of a pet that will model for the new generation of advanced robots, and welcomes visitors as they walk through the corridors of the museum. With advanced design engineering, it has 17 joints to enhance its smooth movement, and enables it to move and roam with high flexibility, in addition to its ability to see in three dimensions, to map the terrain and avoid obstacles.

We also recently welcomed ‘Ameca’, an advanced humanoid robot representing the forefront of human-robotics technology. The robot features a human-like face and a robotic body, shaped like a human. Ameca

will interact with visitors, directing them and answering their questions, it is also capable of making facial expressions and even has a sense of humour.

The Museum embodies the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to provide a global incubator for future institutions, experts, specialists and those interested in exploring future prospects and opportunities. Dubai, and the museum of the Future will be the headquarters of international future-sighting organisations, as the museum is considered a laboratory for innovative ideas and a permanent forum for discussing the challenges facing humanity and looking for solutions for them.

We believe technology will play a huge role in Dubai’s future and the museum works to attract talent, in addition to building bridges with prominent international scientific and intellectual centres. The mesomorphic body type is the most ideal build, being naturally athletic, muscular and lean. Individuals with this body type can put on adequate muscle mass without the need for highly intensive maintenance.

If you have a mesomorphic body, you can train or exercise in practically any fitness routine or exercises you prefer, as your body is innately responsive. You can do light or isolation training, but it is recommended that you change or switch your workouts to avoid plateaus.

Big lifts, deads, squats, and other full-body compound movements are good exercises to maintain your natural strength, as well as volume training. Moreover, combine your training with a balanced high-protein diet to maintain lean muscle mass and high energy levels.

MORE TIPS:

■ Combine light to heavy weight training with bodyweight training to maintain muscle mass and core strength.

■ You can add basic exercises such as deadlifts, squats, chest presses, rows, and shoulder presses to your workouts, combined with heavy weights, as well as isolation movements using lighter weights.

■ Aim for eight to 12 reps for every training type. For leg training, it is encouraged to do heavy weights with six reps. You can also add light to no weight at about 25 reps or more for at least three sets.

Known as ‘hard gainers’, ectomorphic individuals are typically the slim men and women who struggle to gain weight.

Ectomorphic body types are characterised by having a thin waist and narrow shoulders, and a slender build with a small percentage of body fat distribution. To gain weight, individuals with ectomorph bodies are encouraged to consume a sizable amount of calories daily.

Ectomorphic individuals may have to work harder to achieve lean muscle mass, or maintain any gained muscle, with strict fitness routines.

If you have an ectomorphic build, limit cardio training to one session per week, focusing instead on weight training to build muscle and increase core body strength. Typically, there should only be ample time for muscle recovery, as you also need to commit to brief but intense training sessions.

An intensive workout routine should be accompanied by a proportionate increase in carbohydrate and protein intake. Otherwise, these heavy exercises, aided with little to

no highly nutritive, protein-rich diet, will not only deplete your energy stores but render your weight gain goal futile.

Focus on compound movements, high repetition ranges or a lift bulk-up workout to boost testosterone levels that lead to muscle growth.

MORE TIPS:

■ Work out with heavy weights and take two to three minutes of rest in-between exercises.

■ Aim for up to eight sets and up to 10 reps of each exercise.

■ Avoid too much caloric expenditure by training two body parts or muscle regions, at most, per day.

Endomorphic body types are characterised by soft and bulky bodies that are prone to store fat more easily than other body types. This body type is also likely to be big-boned frames with innately strong upper body strength.

However, most endomorphic individuals struggle with finding an ideal workout routine due to the presence of excess body fat.

If you’re an endomorph, you must focus on doing cardiovascular exercises more than three times a week to burn fat, coupled with weight training sessions composed of compound movements.

In terms of diet and nutrition, stick to highprotein and high-fibre meals, restricting intake of carbohydrates and sugars. The combination of intense cardio workouts and lean, low-carb diets promote fat burning, especially in the middle section, buttocks and thighs.

MORE TIPS:

■ You can focus on total body workouts composed of compound movements to burn more calories.

■ Avoid low-rep heavy-weight lifting.

The design of Atlantis The Royal rethinks the conventional concept of the ‘iconic tower’ and its role in the skyline of the rapidly growing city. Rather than focus on form only, the building centres on extending the idea of indooroutdoor living. This idea is transcended vertically into a 500-metre-long, 178-metre-tall mega structure, operating as a permeable screen porous to people, light and air.

Atlantis The Royal was conceptualised as the ‘deconstruction’ of the traditional sculptural towers associated with Dubai, taking the form of a stack of individual blocks, each offering a bespoke private experience off of a single core. The individual series of blocks enhances the convenience of luxury and amenities for residents and guests, in what seemingly feels like a smaller and more intimate setting. The gaps between become outdoor courts, naturally ventilated and shaded, with incredible views over Dubai and the Gulf.

ARCHITECTURE

The visual identity of Atlantis The Royal mediates between the classic form of the nearby Atlantis, The Palm Resort, and the progressive architecture of Dubai, visible on the coastline running to the northeast. The building’s two terraced towers step down towards one another to meet through the sky bridge, which features dramatic views of the Gulf and Dubai skyline.

The bridge is punctuated with pools, lounges, and other amenities that create a lush oasis stepping down to the tranquil Palm Island lagoon. A principal highlight of the building design is the structure’s double curvature façade. The elegant composition and stepped profile create exterior views, unlike any other property in Dubai.

The views northwards are an uninterrupted scene of the Arabian Gulf and the horizon beyond. Looking southwards is the breathtaking scenery of Palm Island, expansive beaches and the Dubai skyline.

A key and central element to the design is the resort’s Sky Pool Villas. These rooms feature vast elevated terraces, each with its own private outdoor pool and architecturally landscaped gardens. For the Culture JUST SAY ‘WHATEVER’!

Have you ever experienced the extraordinary phenomenon of a song that grew up on you? That experience of disliking the organisation or composition of a certain beat, the lyrics, or even the voice of the artiste?

This has happened to me growing up in Jamaica, the reggae capital of the world. I had experiences where songs just felt like someone dropped a brick on your big toe; it just felt painful. Yet, I used to sit and watch others, more specifically, my peers, bask in the honey of the same musical rendition I found so revolting and nauseating.

To my chagrin, these utterly useless and unwanted songs became my go-to music to this day. One example of a song I found repulsive was a song by Damion ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, son of the legendary Bob Marley, called, “Affairs of the Heart”.

I do not know if my unease with that song came from my inability at the time to appreciate the beat, the lyrics, or the artiste. All I know is that hearing this song all the time, seeing other people enjoy the melodies and sensations, and learning the messages which emanated from the lyrics, laced with my own “Affairs of the Heart”, helped me to change what I considered noise to one of my most loved and cherished songs. Time helped me to change my opinion because, after a while, I was like whatever! Let’s go! To my astonishment at how what was once noise turned into music to my ears, I figured if this unpleasant song could become one of my favourites, then why can’t I learn to change my unwanted or unpleasant state of mind, state of being, or situation from a place of noise to melodious musical “Pandora” that could enrapture my whole being into a place of bliss and glee.

There is no other time in the history of this Earth that there is more noise than there is now. Noise, a nuisance of the mind, an irritation of the body, an agitation of the soul, is the embodiment of unproductivity and desolation. Noise, in a literal sense, of course, are sounds that are unwanted, disruptive, unpleasant, and unfriendly to the ear. In a more subliminal sense, however, noise is the state of mind, a state of being, a hindrance of selfactualisation, or an impediment that bars us from interpersonal, intrapersonal,

professional, or cultural goals, among other aspects of our lives. Yet noise could be the catalyst for change, the missing ingredient for your best mental dish, the missing piece to create peace of mind, or the missing harmony to help you to live in harmony.

Noise, the eternal disturbance, could become your music if you can learn to appreciate your nuisances as a foundation or launching pad for change or growth. How do we channel our disturbances, and noise, into emotional, social, mental, or cultural melodies, harmonies, notes, and organised sounds? How do we change our noise into music? Whatever circumstances we face, keep in mind that we can make music from the noise we find revolting, resulting in our inability to change or grow. Hence, let us make music from our noise!

Importantly, nobody said that being in an undesirable situation is a catalyst for change; it is not. In the pursuit to progress, it is important to know that you are the variable in the equation that needs to change.

The noise is a virus that needs a host to explode into life. The noise which affects you, whether physical, technical, physiological, organisational, psychological, cultural, or semantical, is all fixed! The noise that distracts you cannot change and create new or unwanted issues for you. The noise needs you to be unable to cope; it needs your inability to organise unequal soundwaves to continue to annoy you; it needs you to stop you from being your best you.

Now that we have qualified that noise is fixed, look at this interesting point of view from Helena Bonham Carter, an English actress known for worldacclaimed performances in movies such as Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: “I’ve got so many issues, but as you get older you go whatever.”

This quote is significant to me because, like problems in the real world, noise is inevitable, so with a mindset like Bonham Carter’s, surely you can move past noise that disassembles your ambitions of growing above the lows of your troubles to the heights of serenity and tranquillity, to a place of the melodic concoction of sweet to the taste of your ears ‘nectar rich sounds.’

The noise in your life is always going to appear, so it is your responsibility not to match this fixed experience by adopting a response of fixation to those unwanted sounds. Instead, your mindset should be the total opposite; your mindset should be, “Since noise is inevitable, my position or solution is whatever.” The moment you allow yourself that first, you will realise that you are already a conqueror of the problems; oops I mean, noise is meant to keep you victimised and believe the lies that you cannot overcome the displeasures we will inevitably face throughout our lives.

Vitally, music comes from inspiration and imagination, which stems from a place where even

chaos, confusion, and bewilderment are a concoction of organised and palatable sounds. Like a plant that grows from the ground, sometimes the most important or beautiful things in life come through pain, tension, or strain, but whatever, this, too, shall pass. It is like making lemons into lemonade, oh how can lemons be so sour? But when mixed with preferably honey, the taste of grandeur, splendour, oh how refreshing is the taste of the lemonade!

It is imperative to note that whatever your approach is to convert noise to music, whether you play the waiting game or attack the unbearable sounds of noise, your use of time is vitally important to your ability to deliver a favourable outcome to your situations of unease.

You can appreciate that whatever, in itself, will also pass; that you will have to use your whatever again but perhaps in a different environment or context to achieve what you know is necessary for change or growth. Life does not happen in a vacuum; progress is not linear. Therefore, we can act, which will give us the options, opportunities, and capabilities to change our noise into music.

Funnily, could there be instances where the noise was music waiting for you to realise that these sounds are desirable and friendly? Take, for instance, you have a crucial decision to make, but you are bogged down by dumb and confusion as to what decision to make, if any at all. That type of noise again needs your ability to use the time to your advantage. It also needs you to be prepared to take risks and make mistakes to make the right decisions for that situation.

It could be that you want to go for the experts in your field of study, change jobs, or change your environment. Heck, it could be which ice cream flavour you think is your favourite. Remember, you are not the fixed variable; the noise is. So, if noise is belching you out like the smoke in a factory, it is pertinent to note that you make music by giving yourself options and opportunities to find solutions.

By giving yourself options and opportunities, you are also giving yourself time to reach your desired state of being or mind.

It is important to remember that noise can sometimes be subtle or loud; it can feel constant and pressurising, but always know that the ‘drum machine is in your studio’. You have the magic to change noise into music when you can reach that feeling of whatever.

Problems and difficulties are inevitable; they are why our lives are so amazing, fascinating, and infuriating. Yet, how formidable is the knowledge that you can “Do re mi fa so la ti do” your way out of any obstacle that may present its unwanted self into your existence?

Remember that time is your friend if you use it and do not waste it. Keep in mind that you are a producer, beat maker, artiste, and organiser that creates lemonade from lemons; you are the one who creates beauty from the pain that comes from growth. You are the variable who can change noise into music; you are the one who can say whatever! Hence, whatever!
