Q. What do you enjoy most about being a Dean at Ōtūmoetai

College? A. You get to try and help people which is why most people become a teacher.

Q. What are some of the things you have learnt about our students in your deaning role? A. Most kids are lovely people.

Most just need reminding to get out of their own way.

Q. What is your best experience as a Dean to date? A. Seeing a couple of boys off into apprenticeships when they were up to all sorts of mischief in junior school. Awesome when we manage to see change and weather the storms ofadolescence.

A. Getting to know such a diverse group of kids.

Q. What are some of the things you have learnt about our students in your deaning role?

A. Their ideas are always interesting and usually excellent! Q. If you could pass on onepiece of advice to Year 13 students, what would that advice be?

A. Take yourself seriously. You are better and more capable that you think! Do not take yourself too seriously. No-one likes a kid who thinks they know it all!

A. I used to be a Paparazzi.

A. Pictionary in Poutama.

Q. If you could pass on one piece of advice to Year 13 students, what would that advice be?

A. Be kind, always.
