The Senators haven’t been to Los Angeles every year, but they haven’t had a win here in 13 years. You’d think sooner or later, they have to turn it around. Now would be a good time to start.

Two of the best young defencemen — both of whom will be contenders for the Norris Trophy at the end of the season, — will square off. Both will play big minutes and both can produce points.

Captain Jason Spezza, Milan Michalek and Bobby Ryan had plenty of shots in the club’s first two games, but they didn’t score. The heat is on them to start producing in Game 3.

Andy must be dandy

Yup, there’s always snarls on the L.A. highways, but we’re talking about the kind near the net. The Kings are a big, strong team and they play with a hardnosed edge at the net.

THE BIG MATCHUP

If Craig Anderson is going to get a chance to go to the Olympics, L.A. goalie Jonathan Quick is one of the guys he’ll have to beat out for playing time. A win here would certainly help.

Craig Anderson battles fellow Yank Jonathan Quick tonight.

The Senators haven’t been this way in two years and need to overcome the time change. They came out a day early, but the reality is they’re dropping the puck at 10:30 p.m. EST.
