Miss Herndon is director of annual giving at the University of North Carolina, Asheville. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Killian of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Helen Sossamon Neill of Hendersonville, and the late Elmer Yates Neill.
