Château Puynormond, Montagne Saint Emilion
Winemaker - Philippe Lamarque History The beautiful village of Montagne Saint Emilion is situated 5 km North East of picturesque Saint Emilion. Château Puynormond is set on a South facing hill side overlooking their own vines and covers 12 hectares. The domaine has been owned by 4 generations of the Lamarque family and only produces red wines. The harvest is manual at Château Puynormond and the quality of the "vieilles vignes" cuvée, 100% Merlot, is improved by a green harvest and careful attention through the vinification process. The production only averages 40 hectolitres per hectares as the age of the vine is between 50 and 90 years old. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months before bottling. Wines Red
