Application: Preferred by 30 November, 2012 This largely practical programme is ideal preparation if you wish to be a physical conditioner for elite athletes and teams. Learn how to design and implement effective physical conditioning programmes in the professional sporting environment and interact with the experts who support athletes in their conditioning and competition environment. Note: You may complete the Graduate Diploma on a part-time basis while undertaking selected degree programmes at the University of Otago. Please contact the Otago Institute of Sport and Adventure to discuss your options. Entry requirements > An undergraduate degree OR equivalent professional experience (conditioning coaching and/or personal training). > You may apply for provisional entry if you are a graduate of Otago Polytechnic’s Diploma in Applied Sport and Exercise Leadership (Level 5). > You must declare any criminal convictions. > If English is not your first language, you must also demonstrate English language skills equivalent to an IELTS overall band score (academic) of 6.0, scoring at least 6.0 in each band. The Certificate in Health (Level 4) is a bridging option. See page 20.
