“I don’t think I will be going with my family this year to celebrate with my parents. I will prefer to send the money to them and celebrate the fes val with my family here in Osogbo in the li le way I can afford.

“I have five children and if I am to travel with them and their mother to Abeokuta, we will spend about N40,000 with the current price of transportaon. That does not include clothes for the children and other li le things”, he stated.

Also, Abuja to Osogbo was N15,000, Abeokuta to Osogbo 6,000 while Ibadan to Osogbo was N2000.

A bag of rice and a keg of oil were sold for N34,000 and N31,500 respec vely.

The medium also learnt that a small basket of yoruba tomatoes was N22,000 as there was scarcity of northern tomatoes with a small bag of pepper sold for N10,000.

Also, a small bag of finger pepper was sold at the rate of N12,000.

The medium visited over the weekend some ram markets in Osogbo on Thursday and noted that the least price of ram was between N40,000 and N50,000 while big rams were sold between N150,000 to N250,000.

Small goats were sold between N30,000 and N35,000 with the bigger ones going for N70,000 to N90,000.
