THE OPPOSITION
JAKE JENSEN (Midfielder) - Jake was one of the multiple signings for Dunston in the summer of 2022. He was on a football scholarship in the United States for four years from summer 2018 before returning to England. Jake is a technically gifted midfielder that brings energy and tenacity to the team along with an accurate range of passing.
PHIL TURNBULL (Midfielder) - Central midfielder Phil can play with either foot and is a fiercely competitive player who joined the club along with Craig Baxter in 2021. Having started out at Hartlepool United before joining York City, Phil enjoyed loan spells at Blyth Spartans and Gateshead. A permanent move to Gateshead in 2008 saw him play over 300 games for the Tynesiders and he played a vital role in the National League season which saw Gateshead reach Wembley.

JACK ELLIOTT (Forward) - Jack is a very talented player who returned to Dunston in September 2019 following a brief spell with Hebburn Town. He progressed through Newcastle United’s Academy and has had spells at Consett AFC and Whickham. Since his return, Jack has been a virtual ever-present figure in the starting eleven and continues to give his all in a Dunston shirt.
LIAM THEAR (Forward) - “Scrappy” is in his ninth season at the Club after completing a successful stint at the Gateshead FC Academy where he was very highly rated. A very strong and deceptive player who is a great character to have in the playing squad.
JONATHON CHRISP (Midfielder/Forward) - JJ is a versatile young player who can fit into the team in several positions. He is quick and can play comfortably with either foot and combines bravery with a very competitive attitude. His ability to come up with important goals makes him a real asset. Team Manager Jon McDonald describes JJ as “a player with a lot of potential”.
