This diversity enables the Osceola County Association of REALTORS® to offer such a wide variety of programs and opportunities. Considers nominations made by members for various award opportunities throughout the year on the local, state and national level. Responsible for selecting recipients of OSCAR’s internal annual recognitions and awards. Bylaws and Policies Committee

Performs an annual review of the Association Bylaws, Policies, and Procedures which is submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. Commercial Alliance Committee

Teresa Reilly-O’Doherty, Chair teresa@homesbyteresa.com

Identifies and connects commercial real estate practitioner members and members with a potential interest in commercial specialties. Members connect with commercial overlay boards, commercial specialty institutes, and commercial marketing platforms.

Positions OSCAR members internationally as influential and authoritative representatives of the Florida real estate profession and provides members with exposure within the international arena that will generate business and contacts.

Investigates complaints received from the public and members to determine if the complaint has sufficient substance and merit to warrant an ethics or arbitration hearing or mediation procedures.

Brings Brokers and Managers together for networking opportunities, discusses effective ways to operate their businesses, provides relevant education opportunities for brokerages to share

Professional Development Committee

Provides guidance and background information regarding continuing education, certification, and designation offerings; reviews current course offerings and delivery systems; and ensures up-to-date and relevant education is offered.

Realtors® Care Committee

Seeks, develops and promotes opportunities for OSCAR and its’ members to be engaged in the community in which we serve. Encourages involvement from members to promote the REALTOR® brand, image and mission.

Professional Standards Committee

Responsible for enforcement of the Code of Ethics of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® through the conduct of ethics and arbitration hearings.

Realtor® Political Action Committee

Working with and through RPAC-Florida and RPAC of NAR, the RPAC committee is responsible for raising funds for the furtherance of candidates, political parties, political committees and issue activities consistent with election laws on a nonpartisan basis. Public Policy Committee

This committee recommends action on matters of public policies and regulations as they affect the real estate profession, private property rights and other issues that have an impact on the real estate industry.

Stellar MLS Committee

John Goldsborough, Chair jgoldsborough@usa.net

Makes recommendations on MLS software enhancements, plus identifies and reports problems within the MLS system programs. Committee will make recommendations for the chair to present at the Stellar MLS SAC Board and OSCAR Meetings.

Budget and Finance Committee*

Considers and recommends ways and means to properly finance OSCAR, submits to the Board of Directors a budget for adoption, and provides oversight of the financial management and financial reporting function. Nominating Committee*

Identifies and interviews candidates to serve as Officers and Directors and recommends a slate of nominees to present to the Board of Directors and membership for the annual election. Past Presidents Council*

Serves as a Presidential Advisory Group and a resource to officers and administrators. Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive leadership program designed to identify and groom potential leaders.
