SCIENCE IN OUR LIVES
THIS TINY HOME PROMOTES A BIG MESSAGE ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY! Learn how you can go green as the Tiny Green Home exhibit arrives at the Orlando Science Center. The City of Orlando and OUC – The Reliable One have joined forces to support residents in their journey to become more environmentally sustainable at home. Beginning in early 2021, the Tiny Green Home will be on display in Loch Haven Park just outside the Science Center. It promotes energy efficiency and sustainable energy by showcasing features like a solar array, green wall, water cistern, and window film.

Visit it to learn how these modifications can make a difference in your home energy bills while doing your part to create a more sustainable environment for all of us. The Tiny Green Home is also a showcase for the City’s and OUC’s existing free and lowcost sustainability programs. In addition to tours, there will be scheduled activities promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric vehicles. People will learn how to participate in the City’s and OUC’s programs to make a difference in their own homes. Orlando Science Center will own, operate, and maintain this exhibit with support and sponsorship from The City of Orlando and OUC – The Reliable One. Additional support for this project has been provided by the Bloomberg Philanthropies American Cities Climate Challenge, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Little Diversified Architectural Consulting. When the Tiny Green Home is not on display at Orlando Science Center, it will make appearances at community events and festivals. WWW.OSC.ORG
