The Oregon P ark District C hildren’s C enter program is designed to help prepare your child for kindergarten. C hildren will learn both indoors and outdoors utilizing both of our classrooms. Mrs. C randall and Mrs. Teresa have developed a curriculum to assist your child’s social and emotional development as well as providing kindergarten readiness skills.

Drop-off and pick-up will occur at our C hildren’s C enter entrance located at S chool S treet and S outh 6th S treet. This location allows for you to drop your child off at the entrance from your car directly to our teachers. This procedure, enacted during C OVID, has been successful and will continue in the 2021-22 school year. Our students and staff are able to be independent from Nash R ecreation C enter with their own kitchen, bathroom and both indoor and outdoor classrooms. The separation has allowed for easier transitions at drop-off and much less contact than entering through the traditional Nash R ecreation C enter entrance. P ick-up will allow parents to park on S chool and 6th S treet and enter our back patio for dismissal.

The Tuesday/Thursday class is geared towards 3 year olds and younger 4-year olds. C lass meets from 8:15-10:45 am two days per week. C hildren must be at least 3 years old to attend the two-day class.

The Monday/Wednesday/Friday class is structured for 4 year olds and younger 5 year olds. C hildren must be at least 4 years old by S ept. 1 to attend. C lass will meet on Monday and Friday from 8:15-11 am. Wednesday class will meet from 8:15 am-12 pm. C hildren will bring a packed lunch each Wednesday and enjoy lunch with their teacher’s to help prepare them for school lunches in Kindergarten.

A meet the teac her night will be held prior to s c hool s tarting and information will be s ent. S tudents will als o be as ked to provide a few bas ic s c hool s upplies , bac kpac k and water bottle.

Registration for the 2021-22 School Year is open. Availability is limited. To register, please call Nash (815) 732-3101 during business hours. A non-refundable deposit is required at registration.
