The Oregon Park District Children’s Center program is designed to help prepare your child for kindergarten. Children will learn both indoors and outdoors utilizing both of our classrooms. Mrs. Crandall and Mrs. Teresa have developed a curriculum to assist your child’s social and emotional development as well providing kindergarten readiness skills. Drop-off and pick-up will occur at our Children’s Center entrance located at School Street and South 6th Street. This location allows for you you to drop your child off at the entrance from your car directly to our teachers. This procedure, enacted during COVID, has been successful and will continue in the 2021-22 school year. Our students and staff are able to be independent from Nash Recreation Center with their own kitchen, bathroom and both indoor and outdoor classrooms. The separation has allowed for easier transitions at drop-off and much less contact than entering through the traditional Nash Recreation Center entrance. Pick-up will allow parents to park on School and 6th Street and enter our back patio for dismissal. The Tuesday/Thursday class is geared towards 3 year olds and younger 4-year olds. Class meets from 8:15-10:45 am two days per Children must be at least 3 years old to attend the two-day class. The Monday/Wednesday/Friday class is structured for 4 year olds and younger 5 year olds.
