Masonic Model Student Assistance Program
Throughout 2021, teachers faced the intense difficulty of educating children from afar. Now, as the pandemic wanes, students return to school and with them bring additional social and emotional challenges.
In order to support academic success, the Masonic Model Student Assistance Program provides specific strategies for identification and intervention in the areas of academics, health, behavior, and attendance. The program continues in a virtual format, offering an intensive, highly experiential training for teams of 5-8 educators from each school.
It is through this collaboration that students may be steered toward school and community resources for support. Attendees rave that this Masonic-sponsored program is a fresh take on a commonplace issue and they appreciate the support of the Fraternity in serving students.
Virtual trainings offered TWICE
"This was invaluable to my students and to me. I'm so glad I took this training and I hope it makes a difference to many, many students in the future." - Title 1 Teacher Siuslaw School District
Collaborative teamwork is imperative to the success of intervention and support. Attendees can implement the training as soon as they're back on campus. Many schools learn about this program when the local Lodge shares information with them.
